I've been wanting to go to this place since I saw it on the Hairy Bikers and I was not disappointed. I went for an early lunch after a bike ride and had a fantastic mutton curry with incredible jollof rice. The curry itself was tasty and spicy without being hot. The hot sauce that was put to one side in a bowl was more than hot enough if you were feeling brave. The homemade non-alcoholic punch was beautiful.

It was so nice that I asked what else they had that I could take it home, so I've got some more jollof rice and an incredible chicken dish.

The place itself - and the views - make it even more special, as does the easy hospitality of Stella.

There's nothing like this place and I'll definitely be back.

In the middle of nowhere, this unassuming farm house hides the delights of Stella’s Kitchen. Stella herself is a force of nature, and has brought cooking from her native Cameroon to the Peak District. Large helpings of hearty food with a great depth of taste. Just be careful with the chilli sauce: it requires a certain capability to deal with chilli heat!

Note that no alcohol is served (her fruit punch is lovely), but you take your own with no corkage charge.

Outstanding place! Very intimate, warm, friendly and welcoming. The imperfections of a genuine house lent to a fantastic evening. Felt like visiting a good friend who can cook up a storm.

I haven't tried everything, but would definitely recommend any of it based on the food my girlfriend and I had. The homemade hot sauce is certainly that!

Very much appreciated birthday surprise and will definitely be visiting again!

Had the most delicious cakes. Stella’s everything cake & coffee cake with some hot drinks. The atmosphere was very relaxed, warm, clean and inviting inside, despite it chucking it down outside. Definitely worth a visit for lunch and dinner. I recommend trying a bit of everything on the menu if you don’t have any allergies. You will not be disappointed!!

Can’t wait to be back here again!

Scrumptious home-cooked food without all the extra frills and flair to woo and impress. The taste itself is enough to make customers come back again and again. We will definitely be back. Too good for just a one-time visit. Hosts were attentive and friendly. Very warm and comfortable environment. Thank you!
