When I first arrived at Rainfield Hall, I didn’t expect it to be such a lovely place with an incredible staff. Everyone was so helpful and welcoming that my stay here turned out to be one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. The group meetings and therapeutic approach have been truly enlightening and have impacted me in many ways.

I also appreciate how the patients are carefully selected to create a more coherent and interactive group dynamic. The moderators and counselors were always attentive and professional, ensuring that the therapy sessions ran smoothly and effectively.

Thanks to this supportive environment, I’ve learned to appreciate myself, embrace love and life, and prioritize my wellbeing above all else.

A servere lack of professionalism. Confidential information such a medical information that I explicitly asked not to be shared with family was given away. This is totally unprofessional - it is clear that the understanding of patient confidentiality has left the minds of these people. Why is it that the “therapist” that I was assigned also Spoke to my family? Illness is some thing ai chose to keep from my family for my own reasons. Many people that attended when I did still till this day can’t believe what a shambles this place is. Please any one going to this place know that 12 steps programe as stated when going to the meeting that 80% or more fail on this programe. This place is just a money making business.

The building is grand and beautiful but the people who work there do not understand how to deal with people that are expecting the same service that should come with such a building.

No Assesment is done prior to attended appart from a few check boxes most likely for gov purposes. I was put into a small room because of my budget : how ever the room was exactly like where mental brake down happened on my past which spurred on addiction issues, if proper service and attention was given I would have been informed “Mr webster the window in the room is very small and 3 meters from the floor so you can not see out”

After many days of stress and arguing with the house finally I was put in a room which I could see out of a window. Any person with a brain and experience would put me into a room with a bath as ai had stated the hot tub was the main reason I chose rainford and was explicitly told yes Scott this will be great for you as we have a hot tub - but no I was transferred to a room with a shower. The room had a wasps nest behind the ceiling which started falling out into my bed in the middle of the night 25 in total. Attending the nurses office : telling them thank God I’m not allergic as I might need an eppi pen the nurse replied “you would have to bring your own one of those we don’t stick them” ? This is total madness. The wasp situation -as stated by the staff and the manager - had happened each year since rainford has been open, so none of them had two brain cells to rub together and buy fly screens or fumigate miles around the building? Fly screens won’t fit on the window apparently? Get a carpenter ffs. Really poor excuse. For many months around 7-8 I was having reaccuring nightmares about wasps coming into my window and stinging me : so I left with Phobia. Great for some one trying to recover from addition.

I chose to go here as a hot tub was advertised (baths relax me, bubbles even more) when I got there it was empty but was told “it broke last week it will be fixed next week” once I’d got to know some people that had been there many months they told me it had been broken for more than 6 months. Lying to the people that have paid to be there is wrong in more ways than one.

I kept my opinions to my self as I didn’t really want any bad karma as I work in the service industry my self - how ever : now I know my medical info was leaked to my family I really see no reason for me to stay professional when the people in question have no professionalism.

Two others who attended with me I believe are suing rainford. I really can not be bothered even thought they took 35 grand of inheritance for a sun par service. The others paid much much more so I guess it makes sense to sue. Going to court would definately set me off on to using again so it’s catch 22 situ.

Even in gov funded rehabs therapy is given every day (1-1)
Rainford provides 1-1 twice a week other wise extra costs incurred for more. 12 steps three times a day going over the same points every day. Very cult like very god based. I left with this God idea printed into my mind and to be honest it gave me so really weird complexes and worry’s that I really didn’t need on top of precious mind traps that have Been put into my subconscious.

This is long and drawn out, however I felt it important to let people know the truth.

I have just completed a 28 day stay at Rainford Hall and I cannot recommend it enough to anyone who’s looking for support in getting clean/sober. The booking process was quick and informative, and the rooms / facilities were brilliant.
The only issue I would say there is, is the Ash Suite being the same price as all other normal Classic Standard Rooms, as the Ash Suite is a small room with a single bed. I was lucky to not be put into this room (mine was amazing!) it’s just a bit odd that through pure luck you can end up with a single bed rather than a double. I do think the pricing for that room should be lower than the standard classic.
The staff were absolutely amazing, special mention for Beth (kitchen staff) - for always making the extra effort to ensure that my dietary requirements were met.
All of the support staff and therapy team members were brilliant - and I just all around had a great time at Rainford.
The therapy groups were varied, and I really enjoyed the yoga and eft sessions led by Nikki!
I do think that staff could enhance the group therapy experiences by being more firm with clients who cross share / interrupt, but appreciate that this is difficult to do. And maybe the option of more recreational activities to do on the weekends, as Saturday and Sunday evenings are quite empty.

Rainford has been one of the most amazing experiences of my entire life! All of the staff were so amazing, friendly and helpful with everything along the way. No job was too much for them and they were happy to help and provide as much as they can for everyone in the manor.

Special mention to SJ, Chris, Ste, Jane and Jasmine. Jasmine and Lyndsey were the first I met when I got here and they were so welcoming and inviting to me, as were the clients inside the house! I have enjoyed meeting everyone in Rainford and I think they have one of the strongest and iconic teams I’ve ever came across. Everyone enjoys their job and has fun together as well as supporting guests at any time they need it.

Thank you so much Rainford for an absolute unforgettable journey, you will all be missed greatly and I thank you for taking the time to help me fulfil my life. Big love, Lola x

As an extremely worried sister, the staff couldn’t have been more kind, patient, supportive and professional, noting was too much trouble and they went above and beyond to help.

This place is definitely very special and could just well be the lifeline you’re looking for.

The rooms are immaculate and the running of the centre is faultless.

Experience here was amazing, staff are very friendly and food is great. Kelly the therapist was especially helpful and helped me so much on my journey. Another staff member I’ll never forget is Richie. He will go out of his way to ensure you have the best possible care. He is such an inspiration to myself and many others whom I was staying with.
Only downside is the jacuzzi has not worked since I’ve been here, nor has it properly worked for longer than a few days which is unfortunate.
Besides this I had a great time here at Rainford, it is such a beautiful building, housekeeping were wonderful and I would definitely recommend.

The staff at Rainford Hall have gone the extra mile to ensure that I was comfortable and well looked-after during the beginning of my recovery journey. Two members of staff who have left a particularly positive mark in my head are Lindsey and Ainsley, who have consistently gone above and beyond in terms of their care and support for me during my stay. The facilities are top notch, every need I had was met and I found my therapy sessions with Emma extremely beneficial for both my recovery and other aspects of my mental health. I would recommend Rainford Hall to those looking to start their recovery for these reasons.

So nervous and scared when I arrived , was met by friendly staff and it immediately relaxed me , after a day I was introduced to my room after the detox room and it was home from home 😀 , loved it. Meals were 5 star and plenty variety. The staff everyone from the physiological team to the clinical team , chefs and cleaners … all so so friendly. This place literally saved my life and would recommend to anyone struggling with addiction. The days were well planned and layed out , nighttime’s after tea was relaxing , pool and tv room , library and sitting lounge where everyone got on so well I met some lovely people . The grounds and building are fantastic so relaxing , I had time to get better and think about my life. Thank you again all at Rainford Hall you are all so brilliant. Take care and I miss you all 👍😀
