Excellent Mother's Day Afternoon Tea today. Food, tea and staff were as awesome as ever. Really kind, patient, friendly and helpful; happily accommodating us downstairs too. Mum loved the flowers and cakes she was given at the end. She'll eat it tomorrow as we were absolutely stuffed by the time we left. Super job by all. Amazing

Stopped here for lunch recently mid-Christmas shopping. Lovely environment, excellent food and friendly staff. A little of the beaten track, but worth searching out! Will be returning next time I’m in Chelmsford ☺️

We had afternoon tea which was very nice. The staff are polite and friendly. Seating as you walk in and upstairs. The toilets are downstairs. It's table service but you pay on your way out. There is a breakfast, lunch and cake menu.
This is a nice cosy tea room.

Went for lunch today & had homemade quiche, new pots & salad. The portion size has halved!! The quiche was small & heated in the microwave & the coleslaw was honestly a teaspoon size with a couple of lettuce leaves & a few slices of new potatoes. Really disappointing & not worth the money. Sorry!

Really disappointed visited for lunch.
Portion size small had to ask for more cheese as hardly any. My husband ordered omelette new potatoes and salad came with crisps and just leaves for salad. When quired was told new chef and then got potatoes. Said salad is now just leaves.
The staff member did listen to feedback and knocked off our teas and said appreciated feedback.
Used to be good food will not be returning as lots of better value places.

Not very generous afternoon tea experience. Had much muc
h better. It was a gift but i would not have paid for such meagre portions. Chelmsford is a nightmare to park up anywhere. I 'm afraid i would not go back.
