We have visited many times over a number of years.||It was once a very nice hotel. The out side is still stunning but the inside has been neglected.||When we first visited a few years ago you had two bars, one on lower level where you could sit out a snooker room, a large dining room a restaurant and you could even have afternoon tea with Prosecco in the stunning foyer. Their was even a gym and pool.||What happened! we visited in August of this year for three nights and booked out after just one. Nothing left What a shame.

A lovely wedding venue, however considering the cost you have to pay just for the shell of the building, you’d expect them to be able to put money into the halls and the surrounding accommodation. We stayed in the courtyard and the room was so underwhelming. It was dingey, had a low standard of cleanliness, pictures were hanging off the wall and the only cups provided in the rooms were plastic cups There were mega pot holes leading up to the building, the windows of the venue itself were very tired looking, we found a used plaster from the guests before. There was a high volume of younger staff who were actually very lovely and professional, so credit to them, however I found one of the older ones out the front coordinating the weddings to be quite rude, have attitude and like she hated her job. It’s a real shame because the wedding venue itself is so beautiful and could be made even better.

Booked 3 rooms for 2 nights, all left after 1 night. Rooms were poor, showers filthy, lightbulbs out in several lights in one room. No mattress covers and the carpet was dirty/ gritty under foot. Restaurant was mediocre didn’t even have vinegar when 2 of the 3 available choices had chips on the menu, we asked if they did a cheeseboard and the waiter offered cheesecake, buffet breakfast was poor again watery scrambled egg left under a hot plate, honey or marmite was all that was on offer for toast/croissants.||The building and grounds outside are beautiful and this hotel could be so much more but I wouldn’t be in a rush to visit

Room decoration very tired. Communal area decoration v tired.
Window did not close.
Blind did not close.
No hot water to take a shower.
Smelly plumbing.

Food was barely average.

Our weekend / wedding at Stoke Rochford Hall was a story of two halves.

We asked for early check in (1pm ) on the Friday and upon our arrival were told our room was not ready. After a couple of hours my now wife was put into another room until hers was ready. She did inform reception that we would not be back until after 8 as we were going out for a meal. We then got a phone call at about 6.30 telling us we need to move our stuff out of this room. At the same time all the wedding guest were trying to check in with just one clueless person on reception! One relative got checked into a room that hadn't been touched since the last occupants. I wouldn't be lying if I said at this point we were a bit worried about our wedding reception the following day.

We needn't be though. The day was fantastic. The man in charge Mick (toast master) did an excellent job and deserves a special thank you. The food for the wedding breakfast was to die for, the silver service was excellent and the bar wasn't too pricey. The architecture and garden made for fantastic scenery for the photo as well.

The wedding and function side of things deserves 5 stars but was let down by the hotel and reception side.

Lovely building absolutely stunning. The leisure facilities were pretty good and not fair from our room that had a great big bed and good shower and bath. Wish the corridor hadn't have been so noisy, as every time someone walked by our room it sounded as though they were bursting through the door. Lovely food and lovely atmosphere. Would come again

We were originally supposed to be staying in the old stable courtyard rooms, which although small were reasonably priced and nicely decorated. Due to a noisy neighbour we decided to upgrade to one of the mansion rooms. These are astounding, spacious and very well presented. The staff have all been very well mannered and incredibly helpful. The breakfast was a fairly standard buffet but was very appetising, with a lot of different things to choose from. The swimming pool has been out of order but this hasn't affected us negatively at all. Overall our stay has been incredibly nice, its a lovely area and we would definitely stay again.

Beautiful old house with a lovely feel to it. Staff were friendly and good facilties but!! We had a newly decorated room in the stable complex. The room was great but seemed to have been put back together in a hurry. The heating didn't work properly, the curtains on one window wouldn't draw and the toilet cistern was mounted on what looked like three bits of firewood. Ideally located for touring and once the rooms are sorted a good place to go.
