A privately booked 2 bed holiday home. We had to pay for electric. It was very cold and the fire alarm was hanging down. Clean and compact. Comfy bed but a bit soft. Walking distance to the Donkey sanctuary. Very peaceful and quiet. A bit run down.

the chalet we stayed in was nice, quiet, on a large grass area that dogs roam freely on and crap, with views of the sea in the distance, but the site is run down with an unfinished build on an abandoned community centre, swimming pool, cafe, and launderette, that looks to have been abandoned over 10 years ago. it is sorely needed as there are no on site facilities at all. mobile network drops out a lot so calls are difficult. the carparks and general area are muddy and unkempt. the site management should be ashamed.

We stayed in a privately owned lodge, which was amazing! However the park itself was in a terrible state! Overgrown with weeds and grass, broken wood and parts of it looked like a building site. Such a shame as imagine once it was a lovely family holiday park. |Only pro was it was very close to the donkey sanctuary.

We love staying at Stoneleigh - very quiet and easy access to many walks and the Donkey Sanctuary. I would only advise people that the mobile signal is very poor and variable so you can't rely on it...

Good - location and clean bedding. Good sized accommodation with nice furniture. Great location for visiting Sidmouth and the surrounding area, backing on to the Donkey Sanctuary which is well worth a visit, or two!||Bad - Disappointed on arrival at the sight of the overflowing bins in the refuse area with no re-cycling facilities on site. No 'welcome folder' with details of local facilities and guidance of any safety regulations in the unfortunate event of a fire. Comments in the visitors book showed issues that had been reported but had not been fixed. One being the double glazed patio door from the lounge which could not be opened. This could have been a fire escape issue. It was one of the hottest weeks of the year and the electric fan was broken (as had already been reported), but we did get a replacement new one before we left.|The overall impression of the site was that it is in need of some serious maintenance and TLC, everywhere looked very unkempt (apart from a few cottages which were privately owned). There was evidence of damp in the property and particularly on the bottom half of the bedroom curtains. |The website needs updating as it shows very misleading advertising and information using photos from about 10 years ago and probably taken when the site was in better condition and the cottages new.|We were also told on booking that there is construction taking place on site but the swimming pool and facilities will not be finished for this summer's season. In actual fact none of this was true, we found a building already erected, but abandoned, which housed an unfinished swimming pool that was clearly not being renovated or finished as there is a planning application to turn this into apartments. Even the site sign at the entrance shows the gym, bar and restaurant as opening September 2014!|

We had great weather for our holiday. Great location and good accommodation with everything you need. The site has lots of open spaces and plenty of space for outdoor activities. Plenty of parking. There are no facilities on the site, so its very quiet.
