Great location for views and golf. I've marked hotel location with a red arrow on my foto taken from the 18th green at Moray Old.||Comfy bed and decent breakfast at a reasonable price.||Decor is a bit tired and the stairs steep, but inside otherwise fine. Parking directly at the hotel is very limited, which is a pain when traveling with golf clubs, but TBH it wouldn't stop me staying here again.

Only got 1 out of 5 because I couldn't give it 0. Absolute dump. The owners have no pride in the place. The stairs are an accident waiting to happen, to door hasn't got a lock on it, the beds are ancient, and worst of all the place is filthy. The lampshade in my room was so dusty I couldn't tell what colour it was meant to be. The kettle was a biohazard. The floor was dirty, the bathroom filthy. The telly just decided not to work after midnight. There was damp on the walls and ceilings and stains everywhere. I'd been booked in for a week for work but lasted one night only because my companies booking portal was closed by the time I got there. Why anyone would stay here for pleasure is beyond me. Avoid.

We had a wonderful stay at the Stotfield. Our room was large and comfy, the food was great and the service was above and beyond. It was very reasonably priced at under £75 for b&b with a seaview out of both front and side window. I definitely recommend and we will stay here again

Lovely location and views from both inside and outside the place. Very helpful, kind and polite employees! Food was very nice. Would definitely recommend.

Older hotel, no elevator. Not very warm. The warmest spot was when I hugged the pipe that carried heat to the next floor. This hotel overlooked the water and gulf club. A little difficult to find at first. We were able to eat dinner at downstairs restaurant.

Stayed at the Hotel for 2 days this New Year . We have been numerous times .. We always request a room on the first floor and the hotel make sure we get one ..The staff are first class and the food is delicious ..The location is also excellent ..Will not be long before we are back ..

Wonderful old building with loads of original features. Our room (120 sea view) was spotlessly clean with front facing sea view and small side window looking toward the RAF base. It was bright and well furnished including a small table and 2 chairs which were very handy. Large bathroom was dated but again spotlessly clean and had a large bath with (good water pressure) overhead shower attachment. Piping hot water. Only there 1 night but would happily have stayed longer. All of the staff were lovely and special mention for Chloe who opened the bar for us Sunday evening and also sourced a rubber bath mat we asked for. Every member of staff took the time to chat and make sure we were happy. Yes there are areas of the hotel including our room where some small areas of wallpaper etc could do with attention but it's a big hotel and the owners are continuing to invest in upgrading all areas. Would definitely book again.

Room was very dirty, the shower was broken but we did not want to use it anyway so didn’t pursue this with staff (we left the next day as early as possible and showered at our next hotel).

There must be no sound-proofing, the hotel is fairly noisy during the night.

The staff was fine (not particularly welcoming but competent and polite) and the location is good. The hotel was probably grand once upon a time… some of that charm is still visible in the public areas.
