I booked this for my partners birthday and it started really well in as much as they had upgraded us to a superior room for free. Sadly it went down from there. The restaurant felt rather canteen like. There was no wine list available, so we asked for a bottle of pino. We were not told the price and stupidly didn't ask. It was ok but nothing special, 10.5% so weak for a white. When it came to the end of the evening we were asked to pay for the wine - £31.50!! We were flabbergasted and a wine list with prices should have been provided in a hotel like that. We didn't have a card with us but on check in they had swiped my card so I presumed it would be ok to charge things to the room. Well it wasn't. We were told we have to settle the bill there and then but we didn't have a card with us. We went back to the room and had some of our own wine and forgot to go back down with the card and quite frankly were annoyed that we had to. Anyway they called us in our room to ask us to pay....it was annoying and intrusive. We again asked them to charge the wine to the room as we didn't want to go back downstairs. They said "ok we'll let you off with it this once". When we came to check out we asked if everything had been settled and were told yes, nothing else to pay so I presumed my card had been charged. Well that evening I get an email asking me to pay for the wine and that I now owed £36!! I emailed back to say the price was wrong and that I would call to pay in the morning. I called and there was no reply, just music so I emailed back to say I had tried to call and there was no answer. I then got another email back asking me to try again. I was at work so didn't manage to call until the afternoon. I then got another email asking me to call again. I just found the whole experience VERY amateurish and unprofessional.

Long story short- staff need training.|- don't bother eating here (evening meals come out at least 5 minutes apart, juice is very diluted, service very slow even when only a handful of customers there. Breakfast - zero service, horrific food. Just look at it quickly and you'll see. Gone off fruit salad, rubbery grey eggs, all cold. Room key- you'll be lucky to get one and the staff won't apologise for it. Now the room- they control the heating. The bathroom floor tiles aren't all stuck down. The toilet lid won't stay up because the flush sticks out too far. The shower is like a light drizzle- good luck to anyone washing their hair in it.|Oh & if you complain they'll tell you there's nothing they can do there and to email your complaint for the duty manager to pick up & that they'll let the manager know to respond & issue us a refund. I've emailed 2 different hotel email addresses and not heard a word back. Luckily we don't live far away, so on my next day off I'll head back and they can deal with me in person if they aren't going to bother replying via other methods. Our son had his school prom here recently. We'll be giving the school a heads up also and hope they don't book this as their next year's prom venue!

Stayed one night. Booked for 2 x adults and 1 x 13 year child via hotel.com, but on arrival was advised the room catered for 2 adults and 1 under 5year old child. And would have to pay extra £135, to cater for my 13 year old son. Not good, felt It was a con as there was a room to cater for what I originally booked and paid for. There were 2 X3/4 size beds, so was not too bad. But not what I booked, so unhappy. Fire alarm went off in the evening although unsure why!! Was woken at 4:00am by wedding party guests, dancing in room above, so sound proofing was not good. The room and bathroom decor was ok, but show did not operate great. Noisy water pipes.
Not a great experience although luckily stayed just 1 night.
Outside seating area was nice.

I had an amazing time at Summer Fest this year! The entertainment was spot-on, with a fantastic lineup that kept the energy going all day long. Summer Fest is really becoming a highlight of the year, right up there with Groove on the Green, which is another major festival in town.
The bar staff were excellent—friendly, fast, and super efficient. There were no long queues, even with the huge crowd. I had a pizza from the hotel food stand, and it was absolutely delicious—way tastier than I expected for festival food!
The drink options were impressive, with a wide variety to choose from, and there was plenty of seating available to relax between sets. The turnout was massive, with loads of people joining in the fun. I even had a great time on one of the fair rides, which added to the overall experience.
All in all, Summer Fest was a blast—great music, great food, and an amazing atmosphere. Can't wait for next year!

Had a pleasant enough stay here. Staff friendly enough, but our room had a connecting door and we could enter the hotel room next door as it was unlocked and had guests in it, and it seemed quite a faff for the staff to find keys and get it locked. At one point we were told to just leave a chair against the door to stop anyone coming in! Sorry, but that is not an acceptable suggestion. The hotel badly needs a refurb. Pool was very nice and also nice and quiet early eve but we have to pay £10 to use it as it was not included with the room booking. I have never been to a hotel with a pool where we were not advised of additional charges when booking.

Not bad overall. The old manor looks quite imposing but the rooms were nothing to write home about. Pretty standard and quite comfy. I only had a standard room which was OK. The shower curtain in the bathroom smelt and was an unpleasant shower. Sure the premium rooms would have been better but shouldn't account for poor cleanliness

The venue looked great on the website, but when visiting you realise that's just part of the property, and of course we were staying in the adjacent, but linked building. The room only had a small window on a large wall, it was very underwhelming and very dated. No plug sockets near the bed (the light switches are built into the bedside cabinet, the photo shows down the back), the walls were dirty (I don't think the photo does it justice) and the whole room had seen better days. Even the toilet roll was cheap and nasty. Premier Inn are 100% better.
We definitely wouldn't stay again and for the price, we should have stayed elsewhere nearby which was cheaper!

Booked a two night stay and via their website and it says guests can use the health club/spa. When we tried to use it a charge of £5/person was quoted, which apparently has been in place since March but is not mentioned on the website. Out of principal we didn't bother plus the jacuzzi was not working for the two days we were there.
Our room in the new part of the hotel was extremely noisy from 5-30am onwards each morning with the sound of heavy doors slamming, so not the luxury hotel it purports to be. Quality of the breakfast was laughable with only the fresh fruit coming up to par. Second day, we didn't bother and went out for breakfast.
Our room was ok but the hotel lounge areas are tired and most of the furniture looks like its been rescued from a closed down old peoples home. Needless to say, we won't be returning.
