We stayed at the Stratton House hotel for 2 nights on a Secret Escapes deal, where we got upgraded to a feature room and had credit for food both nights. It was a lovely, relaxed break. All of the staff we encountered were friendly and helpful. The food was all good, breakfast in particular, and our room was lovely. There was nothing to fault. The hotel was also in walking distance of Cirencester and several lovely walks, so it really was an all rounder. We would thoroughly recommend.

Enjoyed a relaxing break at this lovely hotel. Our room was spacious, clean and comfortable with all amenities. The bathroom was large with shower and freestanding bath. We enjoyed a lovely evening meal in the restaurant. The breakfasts provided a number of options with all the extras of cereals, fruit etc. It was great to have breakfast cooked to order which is sadly lacking in many hotels. The public spaces are well decorated and inviting. The overall impression is one of serenity and calm, the ideal setting for getting away from it all to relax. All the staff were polite, friendly and helpful. It takes about 20 minutes to walk into Cirencester and is also ideally located for exploring the local area. If there was one slight criticism it is the cost of food/drinks but for the quality experience enjoyed at this hotel it's worth it.

Lovely hotel. Beautiful grounds, big bedroom, relaxing stay. We stayed in a suite room in the old house. Breakfast and afternoon tea in the restaurant were extremely high quality. |Good location for us as we came to the Cotswolds to dine at the Pig restaurant which was only a 10 minute drive away also

Stayed in February. Walked into Cirencester from hotel took 20 mins each way. There is a bar with a logfire which was warm and cosy. The breakfast was fab, choice of cereals, fruits, yoghurt, bread and more, with a hot breakfast choice in addition. We ate the bar menus during the evening twice and at lunch once. The food was fabulous and we couldn't fault it. The staff were great - a special call out to Adrian - who was upbeat, enthusiastic and professional. Absolutely nothing was to much trouble - he was awesome. The room was done in modern sage and had modern wallpaper but was in keeping with the ambience. It was large, clean and comfortable. The bathroom was again, large clean and comfortable. The hotel overall had the feel of a traditional country house giving a sense of warm, welcome and luxury. It blended modern touches such as "mismatching" chairs (they were deliberately different but carried eg opposite colour themes to show this was deliberate), sage walls and Laura Ashley styled wallpaper so that it was up to date. It was comfortable and welcoming. The grounds at the back were peaceful and well kept. We didn't go into the Spa. We stayed here 4 days and would absolutely return. We loved it.

Beautiful small hotel with very friendly and efficient staff. We took our mother for her 81st Birthday and the staff were so lovely to her. The Food was excellent. We had a deal from Secret Escapes so Spa and Food was included and price was very reasonable. It’s only a small spa Sauna/Steam Room and a Hot Tub but exceptionally clean it does get busy so be sure to book a time slot before you go. We went at dusk and the Hot Tub over looks the garden which made it very atmospheric. Would highly recommend and will definitely visit again

Had a half day spa with afternoon tea. Lovely setting and brilliant back massage. The facilities are a little compact and can feel pretty busy with only 10 or so people in there. Afternoon tea was lovely with lots to choose from.and plenty of food.

We stayed in a superior room with a secret escape deal and bought the dog. Room was lovely and clean and had dog Bowles for the dog too. The complimentary temple spa toiletries were a lovely touch. Staff great and the breakfast on of the best we have had. Great stay.
