Recently visited here for a weekend away by the beach, nice location for it as it’s right next to the beach but overall wasn’t a great stay. Hard to find parking for it too so had to park like 15 mins away n pay £40 parking for 2 days. The rooms were nothing like in the pictures small and quite dirty. we upgraded our room to have an ensuite, room 24 to be specific.The smell as you walked into the room was disturbing. even worse when you opened the bathroom door. The toilet didn’t flush properly, shower smell disgusting and water was dirty when we turned it on. we didn’t think it worth the price at all. not happy with our stay.

Check out couldn’t come quick enough. The sea view double bedroom had dirty/sticky furniture. Shower was very old and lime scaled. The area had drug addicts (class A drugs) one sat on steps outside. Physical fight outside in the middle of the night. I did not feel safe staying here. Street Parking was £17.50. No hairdryer in the room and TV did not work. Staff could not provide help to fix. Explained the above on checkout and was reassured that the menagerie would call me. Over a week later and no call received. I will never stay here again. Please don’t waste your time money and spoil your experience of Brighton. It is a lovely place.

It was a good decision to book this hotel. I went to Brighton for work and had only a limited budget. Thus, most other hotels were out. The Strawberry Fields is not luxurious so don't expect perfect. But for its price, the rooms are alright, the bathrooms were clean, and the staff was very friendly.

It's next to the seaside. Very clean and lovely hotel. But you needs to take care that you need to check in before 11 pm. About 20 min walking distance from train station to the hotel.

Absolute dump AVOID ! Every single hotel in Brighton is better than this filthy cheap DUMP ! You don’t get any breakfast. The rooms are just a joke ! PLEASE DO NOT STAY HERE ITS DISGRACEFUL ! Noise from everywhere and no sleep ! Wouldn’t stay here if you paid me !

They claimed their policies are clear that photo ID is needed to check in, but were unable to point to any such statement when challenged. Very condescending receptionist. Didn't actually see the rest of the hotel, but gave 1*'s all around because of the terrible overall experience.

I stayed at this place for three nights and I wasn't happy with the price that I payed for the room as from the the time I walked into the room things were biting me and been itching the whole time I was here. Also the the bed mattress's spring were digging in me through the nights of the stay and all the shutters were all broken. Also had job to turn on TV and there are certain channels you can watch. So for value of money I wouldn't stay again.

This place is all about convenience. You aren't going to find immaculate rooms with the best bedding and bathrooms. Good value for money and have never had an issue staying here.
