Over-priced food and customer service leaves you to question if you are at a café down the A1 or if you are in a ghost town.

We ordered a jacket potato with Creamy
Pork and Eggs Benedict.

The jacket potato was burnt on the outside, side salad was old and lettuce started to go brown showing that it was not fresh and the filling did not taste good.
Eggs Benedict was basically 2 poached eggs on top of two breakfast muffins buns with a bit of ham and sauce.
No presentation whatsoever.

The place was quiet and I am sure something could have been done to make the dishes look more presentable.

Love Strays , perfect for coffee and cake or delicious lunch ! Most recent visit with my girls for lunch, one had an all day breakfast and the other a fish finger sandwich. Their iced coffee is the best - not just a glass full of crushed ice !

The best coffee in Oakham
Lovey iced late , with flavour!
Lovely cake too, the lemon crumble slice was lovely
We don't come to Oakham very often but thought we would try it again as we remembered the coffee was good! We wernt disappointed.
Dog friendly too so our friends didn't have to sit outside

Also we sat on really comfortable chairs too

Used to regularly support Strays when it opened on Sundays. So disappointed on our visit with our food today. My cheese scone, had no cheese anywhere, not warmed up, so tasteless. Think your chefs have changed somewhat as the sweet options weren’t as appealing either. Long wait to have order taken and consequently long wait for service. Nice tea and coffee though. Probably try elsewhere in future

Great place had coffee and cake at 3pm. Millionaires shortbread had a thick layer of caramel, would recommend trying it.
This place is child friendly.

Can’t say anything about food as never ordered any.

Staff were great and helpful if you ask them nicely 😀 We left happy customers today
