Liked: Spotless toilet/shower/washing rooms, 5 stars. Nice to use One pound coins for washing machine and dryer for a change ( no punn intended) lovely site, all pitches fully serviced, each pitch looks over a fishing lake.
Chemical toilet empty facilities with solar lighting. General waste and recycling.
Most pitches quite level.
Dog friendly site and short walk to village, on site shop (not open Sunday) good information available inside amenities block.
Toilet/shower facilities (open 24/7).
We enjoyed our 2 night travelling stay and will return again next year while touring the UK.
We look forward to seeing it mature further.
Touring vans, Motorhomes welcome and Lodges are available, all of which are easy to book online.
If you enjoy fishing your ten steps away from throwing your line in to a lake.

Liked: The site was beautiful. Serene, quiet and very scenic. The shower and washing area was very clean and to high specification. SO happy its dog friendly, as our two labs loved all the walks in the area and all the fuses they got. Also nice to have a dog washing station.
Everyone, staff and other campers were all so friendly. Loved the woods on the doorstep (so to speak) and lovely walk to stretton village, with a stop off at the pub for a fantastic dinner!

Disliked: Nothing, its a lovely site!

Liked: What a beautiful site! So peaceful, literally the only thing you can hear is the birds. The toilet & shower blocks are exceptional (probably the best we’ve seen on a site) very clean, heated floors! Good dog walking facilities also. Would 100% stay again.

First time staying here after a friend recommended it.|Waterlily lodge is amazing.|Very spacious, comfortable and clean. The bed is huge and so comfortable.|Hot tub and sauna, and can watch tv whilst in the bath in the bedroom.||Great spot for fishing and feeding the ducks.||The welcome bottle of prosecco was a really lovely touch.||Visited Stamford and Oakham and had a meal at the nearby Jackson Stops which was really nice.||Can’t wait to visit again.

We arrived here to start a 2 nights stay after a 30 day tour of Northamptonshire, Wales, Shropshire and the Cotswolds.|On arrival to the touring park, it was immediately evident that nobody was here, Noone at all, no caravaners or staff so we connected up and relaxed and had a walk around.|The toilet area with showers are unisex but I've never seen such a beautiful toilet block and I would hazard a guess that they were possibly a year old. Very impressed.|There are some very informative posters up concerning the local area, walks/pubs/things to do which we thought was a nice touch and the laundrette was very reasonable at Β£1 per hour for both washing and drying machines.|Overall such a nice site that we ended up adding 2 extra nights for us and our 2 dogs Bertie and Maddie!|Visited 12th December 2024

Liked: This adult only sight was great for me and my dog. There was plenty of places to walk and it us right on the Rutland round walk way. There are 2 pubs within walking distance that do excellent food.
The toilet / shower block was like being in a hotel bathroom.
My fellow had to go home due to feeling ill and I felt very safe.
I would definitely stay here again.
I didn't connect to the WiFi as my phone connected fine without.

Touring pitch (winter). Well, the touring pitches are large & have all facilities like 16amp EHU, fresh G grey waste points. The central shower block is nothing short of 10 star. Each shower room is large with heated floor, rain & hand shower in walk in shower area, plenty of hot water. Washing m/c & dryer, sink in the central lobby. There's hand & hair dryers.
Fishing, for Christmas & the New Year I caught a few carp which under difficult conditions I was very pleased. I do think the site is missing a trick as it's not readily available what fish, size & types that are in each lake, they could sell bait.
At the entrance to the site is the CDP & rubbish bins.
Plenty of walks from the site, great pub in the village & more nearby.
We stayed 10 nights.
