First time using this driving range. I had been down at TopGolf in the morning which was brilliant and wanted to hit a few more balls that evening. I turned up around 5.30pm, grabbed 50 balls, and had great fun for 30mins. Despite it being peak time, I managed to find an empty bay without issue. I didn’t use any of the facilities so can’t comment on these. My only grumble is there weren’t any drivers, but with a new set of clubs arriving soon, this won’t be a problem in future. Still, practicing with an iron changed things up from the morning. I’ll definitely be visiting again soon.

Strike Shack is the best range in the area, £13 for 100 balls is fair considering the access to top tracing. If anyone ever wants to go to Topgolf just bring them here. Staff are friendly and attentive

Took my 2nd youngest to the driving range for a bit. We both hit new targets, 308 yards and 122 yards.

The range advertises that it is open until 10 however, what it doesn’t say is that you can’t get balls after 9. I have just travelled to get here only to be turned away because I was 2 minutes past 9pm. Very disappointed.

DO NOT GO!!! Sorry but this place could be absolutely amazing but the management are robbing people. They have removed all the heaters supposedly because of health and safety which is absolutely rubbish. They are just being tight. They are running their staff into the ground and Ball machine never works. we went tonight and there was no more balls available because they hadn’t bothered collecting the balls out on the range in the afternoon. I have been going to this range over the last couple of years and it has drastically gone downhill. if you attend this venue, you are supporting seriously bad management that are not looking after their staff and not putting their customers first. This is not just my words but also the words of the staff suffering. Ps. Oh and to top it all off, a terrible pint of meantime IPA is £6.17. 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂

This is the best equipped bay in the area, which makes it look good but that doesnt mean its been well thought out.
I go here all the time because its convenient but here is a defnitive pros/cons:

Pros
- Its got modern lazer tracking, seating behind the bay
- you can play golf games with the lazer technology which seems popular.
- A bar that serves drinks and some food.
- As its fairly recently modernised the balls are in good condition.
- you can hit 300 yards
- plenty of parking and a 'vip' area if you want something even cosier (and costlier).

Cons
- some of the matts are wearing already, some worn a lot, stretched and some torn and so far have not been replaced.
- its far from cheap and considering the cost and how busy they are (and how much money they are making), things like worn matts should be taken care of swiftly.
- No heating...despite the bays bragging about heat they have taken them all down and when its cold it is uncomfortable. If you look at other better thought out bays..there is heating directly over the golfer and for people who might be sitting watching which probably is very comfortable. There is only one bay with heat - bizzarely - but its a small heater only for those seated so chances are even if they do fit them to all bays you'll still freeze as a golfer and not convinced guests will be all that comfortable either. It was 0degrees last week and very unpleasant.
- the ball machine seems to break down a lot so best to call ahead and check they have balls as they have run out many times in the past.
- they often only seem to have one person there doing everything, so checking you in, making the food, serving the drinks which when its get busy can be annoying.
- the screens are situated behind you - instead of to the side which would be far more convenient. so this means when you want to change club you have to move off the matt. its a small thing but if you look at other premium bays they are set up with the screen to the side of you this makes much more sense.

So the cons list seems a lot longer but the reality is its the best equipped driving range in the area due to the fact that there is little competition. The club company has a reputation of being run by accountants which is why things like upgrades and repairs tend to take so long and why good service is left to individuals rather than having a company police to provide it.

Nice clean and tidy place with good tech and good golf balls. However, when visiting today I couldn't get a coffee because "the machine has been broken for 3 weeks" and despite advertising "Golf, fun & food", there was no food! My biggest issue is the constant racket of the unwelcome "music" being played. Have you asked people if they actually want this noise playing while they're hitting golf balls?
