Just had the pleasure of staying at the literally drop dead gorgeous Studford Luxury Lodges nr Helmsley North Yorkshire with a group of friends. I have had a very fortunate life; staying in 5 star all over the planet. This hidden away gem closer to home was the best place ever - bar none!||Hot tub, sauna and decorated and furnished to the absolute highest standards with every last detail thought about…and tucked away in beautiful private woodland. 3 huge bedrooms - all en-suite. ||The family that own it are absolutely the best hosts, even booking us a table at a local pub for Sunday lunch and getting the Everton v Forest match on TV for us! If a party of you want a class getaway in the UK… this is most definitely it!!!Xx

Studford is an incredibly peaceful and beautiful place. It has just six lodges, which are all well spaced out and extremely private. Each lodge has three large en-suite bedrooms (they even ask your preferred configuration of twins or doubles before you arrive), a sauna and a hot tub for ultimate relaxation. Two are dog friendly and they all have a large outside deck, with the dog friendly ones being gated to keep your fur friends safe!||The interiors are beautiful, exactly as shown on their website, and very stylish and comfortable. I was particularly impressed with the layout and kitchen facilities, the kitchen has absolutely everything you need for a self catering stay, which is particularly handy as there are some great local shops in the historic village of Helmsley (about a five minute drive) and an incredible farm shop called Beadlam Grange a further five minutes drive up the A170 towards Scarborough. All I would say is if the extractor fan doesn’t work when you first try it, it’s not broken… just pull the silver front edge out towards you to activate (it’s always a learning curve when you’re self catering!!).||A really nice touch was a small selection of local ‘goodies’ to enjoy when you arrive, fresh milk in the fridge, and enough coffee pods for the nespresso machine to last a couple of days. Also the fire was pre-set, so on a chilly November afternoon lovely to get the lounge area roasty toasty (with more logs and kindling readily available).||Lots to do locally, my husband went off mountain biking directly from Studford and we also visited the stunning Ampleforth Abbey, which again is just a short drive away, or for those of you who prefer on foot probably about an hours walk.||What I would say is that there are a great team on-site, who were ‘invisible’ enough to give you privacy during your stay, but ‘accessible’ enough to give hints and tips and fix anything that was needed. ||Would definitely recommend and will definitely go back.

Just back from a 2nd stay at Studford Luxury Lodges with family (3 gens) and dog and it never disappoints. The furnishings and equipment available are excellent plus the hot tub and sauna a nice luxury touch. Lovely and quiet it’s the perfect getaway but still close to Helmsley and York for a shopping and sightseeing fix. |Also the staff are always available if you need anything extra, our dog got a tick and as it was bank holiday they brought a tick remover for us to use … above and beyond service! Thank you to all the team 🙏|We are already planning our next trip !!!

Well one word Fantastic we stayed here for 3 days on the 14th December 2024 and Wow truly a fantastic stay peaceful and so relaxing the lodges host everything you need from air fry’s to hot tubs will definitely be returning thanks for a wonderful stay

Wow what an amazing weekend. From the moment we arrived we have loved every minute. We are on our last night and already wishing we had booked for longer. This lodge is complete luxury and immaculately clean. The lodge is equipped with everything you could possibly need from air fryer to slow cooker. We are already looking at booking again for next year. Would definitely recommend this place.

Stunning place to stay. Lovely clean lodges in a really peaceful setting, great for a relaxing family break. Very clean and every detail has been carefully thought out. Beds were so comfy that even the youngest had a lie in! |Really well equipped kitchen - including air fryer, slow cooker, coffee machine. |Hot tub was so lovely after a long walk (take wellies). |Can’t wait to visit again!

Having arrived at the lodge in the afternoon, our little break started the moment we walked in. This is the 2nd time we have been here (group of 6 friends) and can honestly say the experience is fantastic. We had an issue with the ice from the freezer dispenser and the manager came with bags of ice until it was sorted. We also had trip to York booked with a local taxi firm and when we set off, the minibus broke down. After a brief call to the manager, he came out with the company minibus and drove us all the way to York, amazing guy 😄|The sauna was just brilliant, with a nice scrub in the shower afterwards then into the hot tub 😄|Kitchen has all mod cons, down to tin foil and olive oil, pots, pans, air fryer, dishwasher and all utensils needed.|Cannot wait for our next holiday. Thank you to Ed and the team, brilliant time had by all x
