Suited us and our two little doggies as we needed to be near the crematorium and Witney. The room and restaurant and bar were perfect and outside is so lit up we could take doggies on lawn area and courtyard any time of day. The large field adjacent part of the hotel grounds was great for them too
The car park is well lit too.
The owner and staff were so friendly.
We got to know regular guests and new ones.
We are definitely going to stay there ea h time we visit my sister.

An excellent Sunday roast. It was the best nut roast I’ve had in a long long while. My friends had various roast meats and all said their meals were very good. The roast potatoes were crispy on the outside and nice and soft inside. The other veg was also nicely cooked. Would recommend without hesitation.

Delicious food - being of Indian origin we were a little sceptible about whether the food would satisfy our tastebuds as we really like spicy food. The staff were incredible and relayed this to the chef. The food was so delicious we ate everything on the table. Our children, 5 and 8 really enjoyed everything. Our waiter, Ash, was super helpful, we will definitely be back when in the area!

Thank you for a wonderful dinner!

It used to be our go to hotel when visiting Kidlington, but the hotel has gone so downhill since the new owners took over, 3 or 4 years ago. Now it seems to be a curry house in a splendid location. The staff are 5 star but the management are a lot less. The manageress will end up in a five star establishment, she is made for that upgrade. The wednesday steak nights / quiz nights used to be packed, waiting for a table, not so recently. Such a shame.

Rooms: not very nice, a little bit too many cobwebs over the door and part of the ceiling, the armchairs weren’t very clean and covered in stains. When we checked in the room was freezing, they forgot to turn the heating on. The cleanliness was quite sloppy. The room attendant was a bit rude, we needed to stay in the room to work so we put the tag outside of it but she came in anyway and complained that she had to tend to the room but she eventually just tidied up the sheets.

Restaurant/pub: the pub staff was very kind and the curry exceptional, one of the best I have ever had.

Great little hotel. The staff are very friendly and helpful. We had a 3 day stay in this year's October half term. Breakfast has to be preordered but can be changed and was served by a lovely lady. There's cereal, juice and yogurt as well as the usual hot choices. We had a couple of evening meals, which we didn't book. The food is really good and the portions are generous.

The rooms are basic but clean and comfortable and offer great value. Blenheim Palace and Woodstock are a few minutes drive away and we used the hotel as a base for exploring the area.

We'd definitely stay here again if we visited Oxford again.

Had a most enjoyable overnight stay.
The room was well equipped as advertised and very quiet and comfortable . Tte staff were friendly and helpful. The gentleman who brought our breakfast was most polite and showed a care and pride in his job. The breakfast room was very tastefully decorated and the interior of the bar is very welcoming, with a good choice of drinks and a couple of real hand pulled beers. Full marks.
We will definitely return when in the area to see family again and will certainly recommend.
