Great food in a really welcoming environment!

Our family loves coming here, and it is always such a difficult choice between Suki and Woody's Pizza, so I usually end up swapping between the two!

The Suki Bowls are my favourite, but if it's your first time, you HAVE to try the Coliflour wings with the Korean Gochujang! They are far too good, and we almost always share a bowl whenever we visit!

Food is tasty but not as delicious as mentioned in the comments. Suki is located in a fun food market hall.
We had to wait about 35 min to get our simple Suki balls despite there weren't too many customers.

We first found Suki last year while staying in Wadebridge. We ordered takeaway Pho and enjoyed it so much decided to go back within the same week and sat in. Food was just as good if not better.

While back in Wadebridge this week with our two young boys (4 year old, 1 year old) we took another visit on Tuesday 3rd September 2024, we had a Suki bowl, katsu curry and gyoza’s. All of it was just as good as we remembered.

We decided to again visit tonight 5th September 2024 with our two boys, we had the Pho we remembered from last years visit , it’s always a tough call wondering if it’s going to be as good as you remember but we didn’t need to worry, it was gorgeous. You can tell the pride and dedication that’s gone into making the broth, most places would make a standard veg/meat stock from stock cubes etc, this however you can tell was done the proper way, broth made with roasted bones which takes hours of dedication for every batch. Top marks from us, another amazing meal !

The owner is a lovely guy who certainly knows how to prepare and cook traditional Asian food. Couldn’t recommend this place enough for anyone wanting Asian cuisine takeaway or sitting in.

Just to add, having our 1 year old with us is somewhat daunting while eating out as he can be very full on, but the chilled environment here is just amazing with no pressure. Highly recommended !

The food was delicious (tofu suki gochujang noodle bowl/katsu tofu/brocolli/cauliflower wings). Service was welcoming and quick. Cool street food vibe, bar and music. Wish we lived locally. Thank you.

I ordered a pork bao bun and cauliflower wings. I had to repeat my request for cauliflower wings twice. The pork was dry and I was given chicken wings. I had planned to share the wings with my vegetarian daughter.
The table we reserved was still covered in glasses when we arrived and as we cleared the table and put them in the bar the person behind the bar was on their phone and then started to do some work.

My god. Talk about heaven on a plate. I'm always torn between having the best pizzas in cornwall (woodys) or a suki.... and I've never been disappointed at either place! Suki bao buns are soft and fluffy, the cauliflower is cooked to perfection 👌. The dip for the goyzas is delicious. So filling, a taste explosion and just delicious. You know its good food when you are inadvertently moaning with delight when eating 👌😁🤤

We ate at Suki today with our 18month old and the food was amazing. We had Katsu curry, chicken wings and loaded fries and everything was cooked to perfection. The Katsu curry was the best we had ever had. The team also went out of their way to make sure everything was so easy for us, offering us a bowl for our 18month old and letting her make a big mess (obviously we cleaned it all up 🙂) thank you so much! We will definitely be coming back again!

⚠️ Beware – Gave me severe food poisoning ⚠️

After high hopes I had a deeply unpleasant experience at this establishment, which unfortunately resulted in a serious case of food poisoning. While eating, I felt something was off about the food, and just a few hours later I became extremely ill—by far the worst food poisoning I’ve ever had.

I contacted the business to raise my concerns, but instead of showing any empathy or taking them seriously, they dismissed me entirely. I was told that food poisoning couldn’t have come from their food and that it doesn’t occur the same night—which is simply false. According to them, rice and fried food don’t cause food poisoning, which is extremely concerning coming from someone running a food establishment. Rice and any improperly prepared fried food are, in fact, common sources of foodborne illness.

The staff appeared very young and inexperienced, and from what I observed, the kitchen was chaotic and poorly managed. One older man seemed to be in charge, shouting at teenage staff. It made me seriously question what food safety training—if any—these young workers have received.

Beyond the health concerns, the food itself was poor. The curry sauce was dry, dark, and clearly reheated. The rice was hard and clumped, another food safety red flag. The cauliflower was so greasy it was inedible. My partner’s noodles were extremely salty but somehow also bland and stuck to the sides of the bowl.

I will be reporting this experience to Cornwall Council, as I would hate for anyone else to go through what I did.
