We've just returned from a one night stay at The Sun on the special Spring offer which was fantastic value. £125 for a double room with full English breakfast, £25 each towards dinner and a free bottle of wine included. Excellent!||We were welcomed by Gemma who was so friendly and helpful, and shown to our Room (No 9) which was wonderful. Really clean, fresh, warm and cosy and an amazing bathroom. Our meal in the restaurant was most enjoyable - served by Jo who was cheerful and chatty - she really looked after us. Delicious food - a great chef with a menu that had more interesting dishes than the normal pub grub items you might expect - and a lovely chilled Pinot Grigio to accompany. ||A really good night's sleep - very quiet outside (maybe would be noisier in the summer when folk are outside in the garden?) and we woke to a lovely sunny day to explore Faversham. Jo again served us breakfast along with Brendan and everything lived up to expectations. You will not be disappointed with the warm welcome and cosy atmosphere in The Sun. A very special hotel and one we look forward to returning to. Many thanks to all.

We loved our stay in the Feature room and then delicious breakfast in the restaurant, the building breaths history - just think of the oak beams over 600 years old! and yet has all the necessary modern amenities, stuff was very friendly, we will be looking forward to return.

Booked for one night with the Taste and Toast Staycation deal: £125 for B&B and two course meal with a bottle of wine. Everything was marvellous! Our room was upgraded as the hotel was quiet, the meal was delicious, the wine was very drinkable, and every member of staff we came into contact with was so friendly and efficient. The pub is cosy with a blazing fire in the bar. A very good deal indeed!

Always fabulous fresh cooked food, table service in a calm setting, being honest we thought we'd try the new place that had just opened a few doors up...went in at it was chaos!...order with a QR code, dogs barking, children shouting....YIKES

the prices were similar too...so back to the ship for quality food with service.

Lovely character pub with beams and uneven floors, nice open fire in the bar area. Excellent breakfast. Well kept beer. We had a very minor problem with our room and when they were unable to sort it out straight away, they upgraded us free of charge without a fuss. The first room was very nice. The upgraded one was splendid. All the staff were friendly and courteous. A very enjoyable stay indeed.

We had the pleasure of staying 3 nights at the Sun Inn last week. We were in Faversham to visit family and chose the Sun Inn as it looked like it would be the perfect place for us to base ourselves…. As it turns out we were right, the 3 night stay could not have been better!||We were welcome on our arrival by Gemma who checked us in and showed us to our room. When I say room I should really call it a suite because it was magnificent…. So spacious and inviting. It had a lovely cosy feel, plenty of room for suitcases and unpacking and just comfortable in general.||Breakfast is a feast! Tea and coffee, cereal and fruit and a wonderful a la carte selection. By our 3rd morning we were just choosing tea and toast but on the other days we chose cooked options, all of which were fresh and tasty. Breakfast was served by Brendan one day and Jo another, both equally professional and welcoming.||We did not eat dinner at the Sun Inn as we ate elsewhere with extended family, however when we walked through the bar in the evenings it seemed to be happy and vibrant and the other customers looked to be enjoying themselves.||We recommend The Sun Inn to anyone who has reason to stay in Faversham. It has a central location, walking distance to the train, handy car park , walking distance to local amenities and best of all very friendly and helpful staff… so thank you Brendan, Jemma and Jo for making our stay such a pleasure.

We stayed at The Sun Inn when we got married at The Old Brewery Store at the brewery and could not be happier with the time we spent there. The rooms were lovely and the suite we stayed it and got ready in was absolutely perfect for the morning. We cannot speak highly enough of the staff at the sun, they couldn't do enough for us on an already busy Saturday. The food was great, really good, breakfast was excellent and the location was superb. I look forward to coming back on our next trip down. Thank you all so much!

We had an excellent lunch at the Sun today. Staff were incredibly friendly and so helpful, especially with managing one diner's food allergies. Between us we had scotch eggs as starters, which were delicious , and for mains we had beetroot tart ( tasty and good pastry) , burger and chips ( excellent burger) and 2 x fish and chips. The chefs were able go do gluten free battered fish and chips, which was really fantastic - light, tasty made with very fresh fish.
The pub had a relaxed and welcoming ambience, and dogs are also welcomed. There is a large outdoor patio area for when it finallystops raining.
We will definitely be popping in again !
