I wouldn't stay here again. Used to be lovely. Something strange has gone wrong here. Paint peeling off walls. Won't even give you snacks at the bar. They all leave the hotel at night and it's key codes to get into rooms. Book the white horse in dorking, it's SO much nicer

We had a delightful stay at this gem of a hotel. The rooms are very comfortable and clean. We had dinner at the hotel and it was amazing, well done to the chef and their staff. Exceptional quality food. That carried over to the breakfast too. The staff were helpful and friendly.

Such a dichotomy. An unusually excellent welcome on arrival. Great room. Good size. Great view. Peaceful. Then breakfast....which was nothing short of abysmal. Packet scrambled eggs, weird tasting sausages (flagged up from across the breakfast room by another - regular by the sounds of things guest). Really underwhelming. Pity was I was thinking about having dinner there on the next visit but feel it's not worth the risk now. Such a shame the food is so bad when everything else is so good.

I have enjoyed staying here before but this time standards have definitely slipped. On checking inn I was disappointed to hear the pool is not open till next month, why? With the fabulous weather we are having this is a silly decision when people could enjoy. On route to my room there were dirty glasses at bottom of stairs and remains of room service at top. Was still there in the morning.

We got married at Burford Bridge two weeks ago and absolutely had the best day! Thanks so much to all the staff for the most amazing wedding! The team made it unforgettable as they were so hands on and helpful, giving us lots of extra support where needed - and plenty of special treatment as the Bride and Groom. ||Our wedding coordinator Kiki was so hands on and answered all of our questions, day or night. Nothing was too much trouble. She even got a tape measure out for us to measure the length of the aisle, and throughout the day I noticed she was there lifting my dress up for me when I needed help. She even squeezed in extra wedding guests in the day that turned up unexpectedly. She made us feel totally special. ||Kiki had lots of meetings with us when we requested them and she made sure everything was organised to my exacting standards. She was super friendly and reassuring too and went out of her way to help us when something didn't go quite right, like the music not working the day before - which she helped us fix.||The catering team and bar staff were absolutely amazing! We had brilliant service on the day as well as at other points like breakfast the following day and dinner the night before. Adam at the bar was super friendly and we bonded over mutual interests. Mary, Lynda and Monika served us breakfast in the Garden room with all of our family and took all of our orders, even making things for us that were not in the menu. ||All of the food tasted amazing! The chef catered to our dietary requirements and changed one of the dishes to suit our needs. The food came out promptly at the wedding breakfast and everyone complimented it. Even the tables at the far back said the food came out quicky and tasted wonderful.||The venue itself is stunning and the barn is a beautiful romantic setting for the wedding. Everything flowed so well on the day and the ceremony went perfectly. The getting ready room was super helpful for me and my bridesmaids to get ready in, making the whole morning way less stressful. The grounds are super for outdoor photos and we were so lucky to have great weather, although there is plenty of space indoors if it's raining. ||We now can't wait to come back for our anniversary!||Katie and Adam

Double charged for the room. Did not realise until after my stay. Manager/staff really not interested in refunding. Zero communication from them. I would avoid, highly unprofessional, certainly not interested in helping.|In addition - breakfast was embarrassing for the guests. Dirty breakfast buffet, half empty and not refilled. Rushed half cooked food. £17 for what was essentially a piece of toast, a half cooked sausage and a very poor machine coffee.|Clearly understaffed.

The ambience of the setting of the hotel is to be appreciated. The bedroom aspects were fine.|The evening meal for myself was unfortunately spoilt through being seated in very close proximity to two couples who glared/stared at myself the whole time. They had a decidely unpleasant judgemental attitude. The hotel is not suitable for homosexual men.
