Sundial House – An Overview

For travelers seeking a quiet and comfortable accommodation in the picturesque coastal town of Cushendall, County Antrim, Sundial House presents a compelling option. Located at 11 High St, Cushendall, Ballymena BT44 0NB, United Kingdom, this establishment offers a unique experience centered around traditional hospitality and a peaceful atmosphere. Currently, Sundial House maintains a limited online presence, with no official website available, but the phone number 2821771340 provides a direct line of communication for inquiries and bookings. The lack of recent reviews on Google My Business (currently 0 reviews) does necessitate a cautious approach, but the fundamental nature of the lodging – indoor accommodation – remains a consistent offering.

Location and Accessibility

Cushendall itself is a small village nestled within the stunning Antrim Coast and Glens region of Northern Ireland. Its strategic location provides easy access to a wealth of natural beauty and historical attractions. Sundial House is situated in the heart of Cushendall, placing guests within walking distance of local amenities, including shops, pubs, and restaurants. The village is approximately 20 miles from Ballymena, a larger town with a wider range of services, and around 60 miles from Belfast, the capital city. The nearest airport is Belfast International Airport, offering international and domestic flights.

Accommodation Details and Specialties

Sundial House specializes in providing indoor lodging, primarily focusing on comfortable and well-maintained rooms designed for a relaxing stay. The property likely emphasizes a traditional, homely atmosphere, reflecting the character of the village and the broader Northern Irish hospitality tradition. It’s crucial to note that the accommodation is exclusively indoors; there are no outdoor facilities, such as gardens or patios, readily available to guests. The focus is entirely on providing a secure and comfortable base from which to explore the surrounding area.

Important Information for Prospective Guests

Given the limited online information available, a direct phone call to 2821771340 is strongly recommended to confirm availability, inquire about room types, and discuss specific requirements. It's advisable to ask about current pricing and any terms & conditions relevant to bookings. Considering the lack of recent reviews, contacting the establishment directly allows guests to obtain the most up-to-date feedback and address any potential concerns. Furthermore, it’s prudent to inquire about parking facilities, should guests be traveling by car. The hotel's reliance on traditional methods of communication – primarily phone – suggests a commitment to personalized service and a less technologically driven approach to hospitality. Booking in advance is highly advisable, particularly during peak season, to secure a room and avoid disappointment.

Overall, Sundial House presents itself as a potentially rewarding choice for travelers seeking a simple, authentic, and peaceful experience in County Antrim. The limited online presence necessitates a proactive approach to securing accommodation, but the core offering – comfortable indoor lodging – remains consistent. The absence of reviews should be interpreted as an opportunity to engage directly with the property and receive personalized information.

My sister, mum and I have just come back from a fantastic stay at Sundial house. Our room was great, really big and light. We had access to a great kitchen and living room. But most importantly Anns hospitality is really special, a proper Irish welcome, you feel right at home. Ann even persuaded us to join in on one of her outdoor activities on the last day it was amazing. I couldn't recommend staying here enough, we will definitely be back!

I would not hesitate to recommend Sundial House to everyone planning to visit Cushendall. Anne is an amazing host and the House is so quaint. It was everything we had wished for. Sundial House is in a perfect location and in walking distance to everything. Anne went above and beyond by answering questions via email prior to our stay and recommending amazing places like local 300 year old pub and just down the road an amazing little tea room. If your looking for a proper Irish experience this is the place. I can't wait to go back.

Sundial house has a lovely charm to it and the staff simply couldnt be any nicer or more helpful. We stayed with a group of friends and it was so relaxed and easy going. We made it a home from home for the few day. Cushendall has some great pubs and restaurants and is a good location to explore the Antrim coast and Glens. Hope to be back there this summer.

Stayed once more with Annie in this unique place. Ate with her, a friend and guests in the kitchen then we sat out the front with a cupla glasses of wine and a bit of acoustic music on the guitar. ||Annie is a lovely Bean an tí (Irish pronunciation: [ˈbʲan ə ˈtʲiː], plural mná an tí) is an Irish phrase meaning "woman of the house".||The experience of staying at Sundial House is just that, an experience. A very unique place. ||Then a very short walk to the equally unique Johnny Joe's pub. No gambling machines or TVs. You either converse, play music or sing your party piece! Two amazing establishments!! ||Go there!!

Walked in off the street the owner was very friendly and nice. Room was very clean and bed was super comfy!! The bathroom was very clean and the every part of the house was shown to us. There was breakfast left for us the new morning even tho it was self catering! ( toast and cereals!) happy to return again to the house to stay again!!

Ran into this little B&B while traveling around. The owner is lovely and can't do enough to help you out with her knowledge of the area. The house is old and full of character. The room we stayed in had an ensuite and was a bargain at £45 per night for two.
