Came for our anniversary and did a pamper me spa break. Beautiful grounds and lovely room. Really peaceful setting. The spa treatment was lovely as well. Had a half an hour facial. Therapist was really nice. The spa itself however is literally a small outdoor pool and a sauna so if it’s raining there is not much for you but we had nice weather so was ok. The biggest downside with this hotel is the dining experience or lack of should I say. We waited both half an hour at both dinner and breakfast for our order to even be taken and had to keep asking for things. The dining room is completely disorganised and doesn’t make for a nice experience. I understand that the food is cooked fresh but when you wait 50 mins for a cheese omelette and it comes thrown on a plate and it’s so greasy you can’t eat it then it’s highly disappointing. Did we have a nice time, yes we did, but more that was because got some much needed time away together rather than what was offered here but would we return here again sadly we think not and do I think it was worth over £300 for a one night spa break definitely not which is even more disappointing as we don’t have lots of money and we found it for this break as it was our anniversary.

Bought an overnight spa break voucher for my sister's birthday. I'll start with the negative - impossible to contact the hotel - no-one answers the phone and you can't leave a message. Tried 3 different email addresses over the course of a week and finally managed to get a response and get booked in. |I wasn't expecting much due to the many poor reviews, so we went on the basis that it would be a 'Fawlty Towers' experience (those who are older will know what I mean)! We couldn't have been more wrong! The hotel is beautiful. Our room was lovely, clean and well appointed. Dinner was fantastic - gorgeous food beautifully presented, the dining room is stunning, service was great (only negative is over £10 for one medium glass of wine is a little overpriced in my opinion!). |Spa was also amazing. The treatment rooms are underground, like vaults with beautiful exposed brick work. We both had a full body massage - my sister said hers was the best massage she's ever had. |Breakfast also really good with plenty of choice and cooked to order (much nicer than a buffet where the hot food has been sitting around). |Overall we really couldn't fault it and I've already bought another voucher for next year.

I went to Taplow house this morning for the sunrise spa package. |The spa is very small but it is beautiful and clean and the staff are all lovely and welcoming. It was perfect for me to just get away and enjoy a quiet morning to myself. |The package included a 30 minute treatment. I chose a massage which was done by Kiki. She was super sweet and did a great job. |When I came out from my treatment there were 3 deer wandering around the garden and I watched them for ages from the warm bubbly pool. They came right up to the terrace to nose around. It was a very enjoyable experience.|After the spa I went upstairs to the beautiful Grenfell room for a tasty two-course lunch. It was slow but I wasn't in a hurry and the staff were happy and friendly. |Overall I can recommend the package if you're looking for a quiet morning in a small spa with beautiful surroundings. I was lucky with the weather though - it's probably not the best spa to visit if it's raining as there is only one pool and it is outside.

I recently stayed here, opting for the most expensive room, expecting a premium experience—but unfortunately, I was extremely disappointed. Despite paying for a luxury room, we found that the bed was made up of two single mattresses pushed together, which was very uncomfortable and certainly not what we expected for the price.

When we arrived, the receptionist was not welcoming and offered no information about the facilities or amenities. We were supposed to receive a glass of Prosecco upon arrival, which never happened. After waiting in our room for a while, we eventually went to the bar to inquire about it, only to be ignored by the bar staff for a solid 15 minutes. This kind of treatment was beyond frustrating and honestly dampened our stay from the start.

The lack of information continued into the spa. No one explained how to book treatments when we checked in, and when we arrived at the spa ready for some relaxation, the staff there told us to go back to reception to book. They made no effort to assist us or offer any guidance, leaving us to feel as though we were completely on our own.

Overall, it felt like there was no one available to help or provide any information throughout the entire hotel, especially in the spa area. For the price we paid, we expected much better service, and the disorganization and indifference of the staff were incredibly disappointing. I would not recommend this hotel based on my experience.

Loved it. They had gluten free options and vegetarian options as well. The scones and sandwiches were delicious. Teas were great as well. Outside was beautiful, lots of greenery to walk around. Service was a little slow, otherwise attentive and well mannered. Would definitely come again.

Came here today to have a refreshing drink in the sun, and was guided outside to sit on the terrace and wait for service. The bar was empty as we walked through so naturally would expect attentive / quick service. Sat outside for almost 15 mins and nobody came, we didn’t get the cushions we asked for and no menus or anything - completely forgotten about. We decided to get up and leave as we don’t want to be treated as though our custom means nothing at all. Shame as the location and the gardens are beautiful and this could be so much busier on weekends if they sorted their shoddy service out.

We just come home from a lovely girls trip. Hulya made our private dining experience amazing, she couldn’t do enough for us and nothing was too much trouble. ||Our breakfast was lovely with so much choice. ||The hotel has lovely rooms and was very clean! ||Thank you for a lovely stay!

I had an amazing spa stay at Taplow House. The staff were extremely attentive and the full body massage was INCREDIBLE. Kiki and Reena gave me and my partner a sensational couples massage. We were both so relaxed we fell asleep! I’d fully recommend to anyone who’s looking for a peaceful retreat. Thank you so much!
