We stayed 5 nights in the beautiful Tarskavaig B&B situated next to miles of farmland planted with a broccoli crop giving you a gorgeous view from our Tartan decorated room. The B&B was a stone's throw away (5 miles-10 minute drive) from St. Andrews and the 5 different St Andrews Links Trust golf courses we played over our stay. The money we saved staying a bit out of town let us play MORE golf! Our hosts, Fiona and Allan Jackson were warm and welcoming and full of tips on what to see and where to eat. Allan, a master craftsman, built this beautiful 7 bedroom home. Our bedroom (the Spanish golf pro, Jon Rahm, stayed there too for the last Scottish Open) was spacious and comfortable with an espresso machine; our bathroom had a warming rack turned on each morning to warm up big towels. Each morning Fiona greeted us with a charming smile and "What kin I serve ya this mornin?" greeting. Her breakfasts - were immensely satisfying and filling enough to take us through a big day of playing golf and maneuvering our golf balls out of famous pothole bunkers. Some breakfast choices included Eggs Benedict; Waffles with eggs and bacon; Avocado Toast; a full Scottish breakfast (eggs, potato cakes, sauteed tomatoes, sausage, bacon and... Haggis (a must try!)! Tarkskavaig (roll those "r's!") B&B - a WONDERFUL Scottish retreat!

Allan and Fiona are wonderful hosts. So helpful with everything, and have plenty of recommendations for local places to see, eat and drink.|We stayed in the beautifully decorated, ‘Suite’|and enjoyed the stunning views across the countryside for two days. The Suite is immaculate, in every sense of the word. It is spotlessly clean, and has high end toiletries, and accessories. Full tea and coffee facilities in the suite too, with fresh milk in the fridge daily. |Do not hesitate to book into this wonderful B&B, it really is fabulous. |Thank you so much Fiona and Allan for looking after my husband and I so well.

We have only good things to say about our stay here. Our hosts , Allan and Fionna were incredibly nice and tried to make us feel at home. The amenities and the room are amazing (tartan room). Very good breakfast. This was honestly the best stay of our 14 day trip in Scotland. I recommend 10 out of 10, to anyone wanting to stay in the St Andrews area. (And even if not going to that area, it might even be worth the detour , just to stay here 😊)

The best stay of our 10 day trip in Scotland! We stayed in the suite and it was absolutely beautiful. Beds and linens were comfy and it had amazing views. Added on breakfast after initially booking without and I am so glad we did! Everything Fiona made was delicious. I hope to find my way back to this BNB someday in the future:)

Great stay. Would stay here again. The breakfast was amazing with many choices. Our room was lovely and the beds were super comfy. You are out on the peaceful countryside and a short drive from St Andrews. Hosts provided great dinner recommendations.

Amazing experience with wonderful hosts, I wish I had planned to stay more than one night. Allan and Fiona were extremely welcoming and accommodating. The room is well kept, clean, and had everything I needed and more. The setup was both comfortable and efficient. Comfortable bed, great bathroom, and a delicious and cozy breakfast with wonderful view in the morning. I will definitely be staying here again and recommending it to friends and family who travel to the area.
