I organised a family member's 60th Birthday Party in Wellingborough and could not have been more impressed with the catering from the Hog Roast company "Taste the Cracklin". They made an enjoyable day even better, and really took care of us so we could relax and make the most of a beautiful day celebrating together. I was worried about using a Hog Roast service because I've never used one before, but the process was easy and everything was explained plain and simple without any hidden extras or surprises.
The roast meat itself was of good quality, you could tell from taste and texture, and not too fatty or overcooked like some mobile catering companies offer. As well as meat there were sides of salad, stuffing, potatoes, and more. All of the food I tried (and I tried a lot of it) was hot, full of flavour, and portioned really well to be able to eat it without making a mess.
Everything was prepared in front of us, which just added to the experience and made it more enjoyable, but also meant that picky eaters and those with special diets and allergies could ask for their food to be prepared in a way that was safe for them to eat. Staff were all too happy to oblige and were friendly, approachable, knowledgable, and well presented. A couple of the attendees are vegan and vegetarian and even they were able to enjoy some of the beautiful food put out for us. The salad in particular was surprisingly tasty, and was perfectly paired with the Hog Roast itself.
If you're planning an event or a celebration I would highly recommend using this company, they seem to really care about what they do - which is a hard thing to come by nowadays - and if you have any questions or additional requirements they're an absolute joy to work with. Value for money is unrivalled when it comes to Hog Roasts as you can feed a lot of people in a short space of time, but I was pleasantly surprised at how good the service and food was given the reasonable cost for our family party.
Not much else that I can say except "5 stars".

Myself and my partner attended our friend's engagement party and that's how we was introduced to The Spitting Pig and I'm thankful to have met the Team, not only are they genuine but they are very passionate about their Business and you can clearly see this in their Food as they go all of the way, it's not your 'typical' Hog Roast as you would expect it's a variety of Foods and also the fancy foods like Canapés. There's something for everyone now, I'm Vegetarian but my partner is a Meat Eater and I was worried I was going to be comping on the Salad to whole Evening but they had a selection of Vegetarian food's which truly did surprise me, they had Salmon, Stuffed Pepper's so I didn't feel like I was missing out as the Food was delicious. My partner said the Hog was juicy and it's the best one he has had. We both highly recommend The Spitting Pig and we'll be booking The Spitting Pig for our future events.

Well, I am a self-confessed carnivore and certainly got my fill of wonderful spit roast pork, sausages and ribs but the salads were absolutely amazing. What a lunch... a long, long lunch...
