This was such a great find. It’s a really lovely, cozy bnb in a really good location and only a 5 minute walk into town. The views are great, the staff were really helpful and friendly too. There’s free parking, the rooms are immaculately clean and tidy. It’s nice and quiet too. We had a record player in our room with some great vinyl to listen to. We’d stay here again if we come back to Exeter for a visit. You won’t be disappointed.

I've stayed here twice this month due to having my bathroom remodeled.
The location was perfect for me to travel to work from St David's station, and if you're a tourist, only a 10 minute walk into the city centre.
The hotel itself is warm, comfortable and clean, and the staff are lovely.
I stayed in two rooms and slept well in the comfy beds.
Breakfast was excellent with a great selection of cereal, fruits, yoghurt, omelettes, cheeses, and a choice of eggs for the full English.

We booked this through a tour as an upgrade. We got a very small room with an equally small bathroom. The room faced south and got very warm during the day and the fan and open window were not adequate to cool it off and this was late Sep so it would likely be warmer in the summer. The breakfast was good and the staff were very friendly and accommodating. It is a short walk 10 minute into Exeter and from the St. David's train station. If we return to Exeter we would look for other accommodation.

Stayed her for one night in room 12 which is a single room. The staff are very warm and welcoming. The Victorian hotel has beautiful decor throughout the building it is very clean. I would highly recommend this place, also it's very lose to to the train station 4 min walk or if you fancy a walk to the city centre it's a 16 min walk. I would definitely stay here again.

Overall, I really enjoyed The Telstar. The location was good for walking around the downtown area; there were plenty of restaurant options close by; the breakfast excellent; the staff excellent. My only problem was being on the top floor (I'm not as spry as I used to be); hence my 4-pip rating rather than 5 pips. Barring the room location; this is a great place to stay when you are visiting Exeter or this part of Devonshire. I would return again when I'm in the area; but, I would make sure I could get a room on the ground or first floors.

Amazing breakfast. They use quality local produce and it shows. It is also a good location for visiting some of the uni halls. The building is quirky and interesting.

Only stayed for a quick overnight. Room was clean and comfortable but very small.
Breakfast was excellent and gluten free bread was available.

The staff were friendly and helpful. They made me very welcome. Everywhere was spotlessly clean with thoughtful additions to make you feel at home including the interior decoration. My second stay here and I will be back again to enjoy this unique hotel.
