On greeting the staff were very friendly and made conversation, I chose my breakfast for the next morning and was taken to my room. I was offered a map of Bedford also.||||I stayed here for one night on my own, I booked the twin en-suite room as this was the only room available and it was gorgeous! Less basic than I’d expect for the price, everything was clean and there was also a hairdryer which was useful. I stayed on the top floor next to the bathroom, which echoed a lot and if you’re a light sleeper you will wake up when someone goes in there. However it didn’t bother me at all. ||||I felt incredibly safe in this hotel as a young female travelling alone for the first time, the doors locked and staff/guests were pleasant.||||Breakfast was lovely! I was served quickly and as well as a cooked breakfast fruit, cereal and toast were on offer.

Great location. The hotel was quiet and clean with friendly and helpful staff. Full English breakfast was good quality with as much toast, tea etc as we wanted. Room decoration and en-suite were rather tired (new carpet though!) but we had booked late and it was the last available room. Great value and would recommend.

Our arrival rather coloured our impression. We had to ring the bell --understandable--the door was opened by a gentleman who's English was limited to say the least. No smile, no welcome. I had to ask if he was expecting us. Was he the owner--yes. ||The room was adequate, but nowhere to put anything in the bathroom. All clean.||The redeeming feature was the breakfast and the guy serving it. Excellent. He was attentive without being pushy. Would we go back---it's good value, but somewhat unwelcoming. Doubtful.

This independent hotel is tucked away within a ten minute walk from Bedford town centre with ample parking at the rear. I was greeted by the helpful staff upon entry who were happy to help with bags and information about the local area.

A mix of rooms with en suites and shared bathrooms which are kept clean. Not the most spacious place but it really feels like a hidden gem.

Breakfast was included and the full English went down a treat, plus there's the option of a continental, if preferred.

Great value and highly revenged l recommended from me.

This hotel is very good value for money. The staff provide very good service, especially the breakfast staff. The home cooked breakfast which is made to order is a nice start in the morning. My room was big and light. The bed and pillows provided an excellent sleep.

I can’t praise the service received here highly enough. The owner on our arrival took time to point out where nearby restaurants and places of interest are, printing out a map to help us.||Luciano (spelling) who served us breakfast both mornings was the friendliest, most helpful gentleman who went out of his way to make our stay enjoyable. He ensured that marmalade was bought in for me for the 2nd morning as they’d run out. He remembered all that we had, different drinks and food requirements as well as those of the other guests staying here.||The beds were comfy, the room was quiet and there was everything you could need. ||All in all this was a fantastic find and all at a very reasonable rate.||Thank you.

Had a comfortable break for 3 nights. Beds were comfortable and the breakfasts were excellent. Rooms were a little rundown and other guests were noisy. The staff member used to serve breakfast was very pleasant and chatty, thus making the occasion enjoyable.

Booked this for my driver who had a very early start so would have missed the breakfast. He spoke to someone at the hotel who more than went out of there way and told him to help himself to cereal etc as they would be out at 6am and they then fixed him a hot breakfast for him to take with him. Many thanks for being so helpful. Clean and tidy and very nice sleep.
