Stayed here for one night in a Deluxe Suite and were allocated Room 1, overlooking the garden. The room was lovely with everything you need. It had some welcome extras such as Tunnocks Caramel Logs to have with your cuppa, and USB sockets at each side of the bed for charging devices. The bathroom was outstanding with its large shower and separate stand alone bath, and the dressing table with hairdryer were appreciated too. We understand that there were new owners recently and we wish them the best with this lovely wee place. The manager was very helpful on our arrival telling us the dinner and bar times, and although we didn't eat there, the reviews for the restaurant are very good and there's a cosy wee bar area too.||I may also add that when we were there, there were a lot of bikers in town. Not sure if there was something on or if this is a normal occurrence. They seem to gather at the opposite end of town from this hotel, so if you're looking for a quiet place to stay this is it! It took us only 10 mins to walk into the main area but well worth it to avoid the noise from the motorbikes.

We had dinner in the restaurant on a Friday night. The food was top quality, lovingly prepared with the freshest of ingredients. Three of us had herb crusted cod with delicious fresh spring veg and the other had local venison.
The service was really friendly and we were very happy with the whole experience.
There was only one other table that night and I simply don’t understand why it’s not full every night with that quality of food! Go there, you will not be disappointed!

Sunday lunch at the Abbotsford Hotel in Callendar is excellent.
We had slow cooked beef and a huge variety of beautifully cooked vegetables in Yorkshire puddings.

The waitress was delightful and helpful. Everything was freshly cooked-- including the Yorkshires. The meal was very well- priced and we would not hesitate to return there.

I’m starting my review by saying that I thoroughly enjoyed our two night stay at the Abbotsford and would highly recommend it.|I booked several months ago but due to an accident I had to alter my booking and they could not have been more helpful.|We were warmly welcomed on arrival and shown to our (upgraded) room which was clean and spacious. The bed was super comfortable and I loved the walk in shower.|Every staff member that we met was friendly and helpful, attentive without being pushy and Grant (in particular) was knowledge about the local area. |The breakfast set up is great; cereal, juice, hot drinks and toast buffet style and they offer a nice range of freshly cooked options - we recommend both β€œfull” breakfasts, Scottish and Vegetarian.|We also ate both nights in house but I’ll cover that in a restaurant review.|I would not hesitate to recommend this hotel and we will certainly visit again if in the Trossachs.

I cannot recommend this hotel highly enough- well deserves its 4 stars. Friendly and helpful staff, very clean and beautifully furnished- we had a delightful one night stay there. Very comfortable bed and the food was excellent. Huge choice for breakfast too. Fantastic base for all the outdoor activities available in the Trossachs area.

The Abbotsford is THE place to go for Sunday Roast lunch.|First visit this year, but I am reviewing again due to the consistently high standard of service, food and value.|Staff are friendly and welcoming, attentive without being overbearing, and managed the busy restaurant well.|The food not only tasted fantastic but was beautifully presented. Photos don't do it justice!! We loved the Easter Egg cheesecake in particular. ❀️ |Great value and with its own car park The Abbotsford is easily accessible if visiting from out of town.||
