Troubles at the Abbey. Having recently been released from prison and staying at the bail hostel next door. One evening after waking up ravenous, I found myself peering out of the window of the hostel. Although my view was some what obscured by the metal bars keeping me penned in, I caught a glimpse of as small Asian man entering the building next door, where could he be going I though to myself? And that's when i saw it, a brightly covered Korean BBQ sign attached to the wall above. The troubles of my regular offending melted away and my taste buds took over. I knew I had to wait until my electronic tag permitted me exit from the building. This would be agony!!||I was guided down what could only be described a corridor from the 60s by a small Korean woman, who took one look at me and knew I was on the register. But that didn't matter, I was led to a small wooden table with a single seat, I noticed that the waitress kept me at a suitable distance from the children and families. I perused the menu, I saw they did my favourite, a local delicacy of both Korea and Bridgwater, roasted hind legs. I ordered and waited...||The hind legs arrived, they were roasted in high strength Polish lager, bitter but so so juicy. Before I knew it, my tag was buzzing. It was time to leave. Without paying, I scooted quickly back down the old corridor, leading me to the exit door. |I made it back to my hostel, just as the warden was locking the door. |Peering through my bedroom window, I could see the Korean owners outside looking for me, from up here they looked like midgets. Laughing at the thought of my free meal and some undigested hind spilling out of my mouth I began to think of who my next victim would be. Would I target a restaurant or pleasure myself?

A previously booked accommodation fell through and had to find a last minute room. This was definitely a last resort, and this place was not made to impress anyone. The host was pleasant and friendly though, the only upside to this place. The space had a very musty smell, perhaps from old carpeting. It was tidy but definitely in need of a major renovation to bring up to the 21st century and at a minimum a fresh coat of paint and new carpeting. The hallway to my room smelled terrible like of old cigarette smoke. My room was neat, sheets and towels were clean, which was a relief. I couldn't find a switch for the bathroom light so I had to have my room door open to let the light in. The bathroom was also carpeted which I thought was a bit odd. I left as soon as it was morning. Wouldn't recommend until they do some major renovations to clean it up a bit.

when we arrived we were welcomed with such a warm welcome. We were shown to our room that was a bit dated and but perfect for what we wanted it for. The place is well located just a short work from the town. The room was located near to the main road that was extremely noisy and continued throughout the night which kept me awake. But apart from that it was a pleasant stay

We booked for three nights and checked out after one!||||Upon entering we were greeted by a faded 70s decor and a musty smell. These both carried through into the rooms. The sheets and towels were clean but the bath had mould around it and the bathroom window didn't close properly. My room was next to the busy main road which would have possibly woken me up with traffic noise had I been able to sleep through the shouting and door slamming from 2.30 am onwards.||||Assuming the shouting was an unlucky one off then this was still a poor hotel, which needs updating and decent sound proof double glazing. They were charging the price for a decent mid-range B&B but don't be fooled. Probably best to avoid it.

It was like something out of cabin fever blood up walls I didn't attempt food as I watched the fried breakfast being cooked the night before safe to say I won't be returning to this establishment as I could give the management feedback because of the language barrier.
