I had a fabulous stay at the Allotment House while studying on a short course at Riseholme College.||The B&B was perfectly located for me, only a 7 or 8 minute drive to the campus in the morning and a 15-minute walk to the Cathedral quarter in the evening for food, drink and sightseeing. ||As well as the excellent location, my stay was particularly pleasant due to brilliant facilities, food and welcome provided by Barbara.||The room was tidy, comfortable and spacious. The breakfast and slice of cake left in my room each day was delicious. And Barbara is the greatest of hosts - friendly, informative, chatty yet unobtrusive. ||A real home from home experience and very highly recommended. I will definitely be back!

The best B&B in Lincoln. Amazing breakfast. Good choice. Rooms are spotless, comfy bed squishy pillows. Fresh flowers on the dressing table. Views over the garden Cathedral in the distance. Easy walk into Lincoln city via the Bailgate.|A pagoda in the garden, table and chairs . Great for your morning coffee in the sunshine.

We have stayed at The Allotment House many times now and always look forward to our visit. Our room is spacious and clean, with a comfortable bed and a hot shower. Breakfasts are wonderful with lots of choice. The B and B is within walking distance of Lincoln. We have stayed in lots of B and B's, but this is our favourite.

Cannot recommend enough. The cosy cottage feel of the house, along with the lush garden and view of the allotments behind the house, give the feeling of being in the country-side while still being in the heart of Lincoln (a couple of minute walk to the cathedral and castle). Barbra was an amazing host who could not help you enough. She's also a great cook and baker, so breakfast was amazing and so were the homemade flapjack and slice of fruit cake that she provided during my stay. On the landing is a mini fridge (with glass bottles of fresh milk and water readily available 24/7), along with an extra blanket, tissues, first aid kit, iron, and more. The room itself was incredibly spacious with a lovely en suite, and both were absolutely spotless. There was also a wonderfully stocked tea service in the room, and a tv equipped with Freeview. The breakfast menu had a great selection, as mentioned above the food was fantastic, and the breakfast room itself was lovely with a long dinning table, tea set, and cosy classical music playing during breakfast. ||I will say, if you're not familiar with the Lincoln area then it may be best to try and arrive during the daylight as the house is in a residential area and so can be a bit unassuming (which I loved but may make it difficult to find if you're not sure where you're going and are on foot). However, Barbra very helpfully supplied directions during the booking process, and any of the local taxi drivers should be able to get you there with no problems. Additionally, Barbra also called me to make sure I knew where I was going (which was very appreciated) and so I'm sure she'd be able to help you.
