Mike kindly put me in Room 3 as I had requested a quiet room, and it was lovely and quiet. All the rooms are separate to the main house with their own entrance, which I like. Room was a great size, with a nice size en-suite. Don't think I have ever seen so many complimentary toiletries. Very comfy good size bed. Judy served a good breakfast. Best of all Anvil Lodge is a 5 minute stumble from the marvellous Christopher's restaurant-see separate review.

Had another fantastic stay at this lovely guesthouse. From arriving to departing we were made to feel welcome. The room was immaculate and very roomy, lovely big comfy bed, great en suite with bath and shower. The hosts are great and the breakfast delicious.|This lovely guesthouse is ideal for a base point for travelling around Shropshire with a great train service on the doorstep.

Absolutely outstanding room....amazing hosts...Mike was wonderful, very chatty, friendly and helpful. |The room was ultra modern and really clean...the bed was HUGE and so comfortable....slept like a 👶 baby ...room was warm,cosy, quiet. |Breakfast...got exactly what we asked for...the bacon was thick and juicy and crispy(as requested) outstanding breakfast all fresh ingredients soooo delicious. |Will definitely be staying here against...many thanks Mike.

Lovely stay in the Anvil Lodge. Parked in their private secure car park, was greeted by host. Room was immaculately clean, superb oversized bed that was super comfy. Lovely corner bath, toiletries, fluffy Egyptian towels. Own entrance to room so you could return as late as needed in the evening. Delicious breakfast with choices of yogurts, cereals, juices followed by a full English breakfast and choice of teas, coffees etc. Nothing was too much trouble, would definitely stay here again.

Room size, bed and bathroom were all large and very nice. Location was easy walking distance to town and. Christopher's restaurant. Quiet at night. Nice breakfast too. Really enjoyed our stay.

The Anvil Lodge is fabulous, great room, very spacious and decorated really tastefully. Breakfast was amazing very tasty certainly set us up for the day. The owner ( we failed to get his name 😞) was very friendly and chatted with a couple of times. The pub next door The Anvil has a range of real ale's that we both enjoyed. We didn't get disturbed by anyone leaving the pub during the evening/night so not an issue.|We will certainly look at stopping here again for any future visits to Shifnal and surrounding areas.
