Had what may be the largest fish and chips I've ever had anywhere. Was outstanding. Service was extremely friendly, always asking if there was something they could help out with. Lots of local and craft beers in the fridge for patrons to peruse.

Found this delightful spot on Google maps as I was coming to see a show round the corner at Gallery Players.

What an INCREDIBLE find!

From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed and the food (we had the salmon special - and I’m still talking about it today).

This is FAR more than a quaint neighborhood pub (which of course love) - but this is a rustic, warm, welcoming spot where you have a wiz in the kitchen that tosses in their own brand of delicious gourmet and you come away thinking about your meal the entire train ride back to London and planning your next visit and hoping what you had this trip is on the menu then…because its SO good you would get on a train for 90 minutes each way to have it again.

Might also travel out for a proper Sunday Roast as the server said they are fantastic- and I can only imagine!

Great local independent friendly pub with lovely staff and food, shout out to Morgan, Paul, Dan and team.
We often eat here for lunch as dog friendly so great after walk in the park and also visits Saturday nights as have good live music.

Fab burgers, amazing crunchy fish and chips.
Reasonably priced drinks unlike some of the nearby pubs.
If you haven’t been you defiantly should 🙂

Food is great! I had a lamb burger which I never seem to find anywhere. The chippies were really tasty, like air fried and yummy! Drinks csn be a bit expensive but overall a lovely little pub

We dropped in at this place not knowing what to expect.

We grabbed a table in the garden and got lucky with a nice breeze.

We ordered the chicken burger and the beef burger.

The chicken was crispy, juicy and robust in flavor.

The burger was moist, succulent and cooked to perfection.

The service was prompt and friendly.

We enjoyed the casual atmosphere and especially the outside seating.

"The pub has a fairly traditional atmosphere, quite similar to others you might come across, but what really sets it apart is the outstanding service. First time visiting here,Ipswich Town had played at home so a few supporters after the game which was fine.
The 4 of us all had food & drink,very good food for the money.
They put on a few specials just before we ordered and one was a lasagne to my wife's delight.
She was really impressed,I had the New York Burger and that was really nice & homemade chunky chips.
We all enjoyed the food and atmosphere and will definitely return.

Late lunch in the middle of a day's walking with our dog who was welcome. Great range of beer and excellent food
Even better was the music! Thoroughly recommend.
