When I first arrived at the Ark for treatment from Mike I could hardly turn my head to the right. I was in a lot of pain and discomfort, which had built up during a very stressful time.
Mike's calm and very professional approach reassured me straight away I was in good care.
Over the next few weeks it became evident my rotator cuff was causing a lot of the problem and with each session I regained movement until I had full range of movement and no pain!
I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Mike and his treatment - he is a highly experienced therapist and I felt completely relaxed and confident in his care at all times.

Proper Sports Massage with an emphasis on the therapy side of things.

At the Ark you don't get a namby pamby skin rub massage. It's rehab.

I went with a frozen shoulder. I'd been elsewhere and got the diagnosis. But didn't like that person, so tried Mike at the Ark.

Much better.

You simply have to like your therapist. And Mike's great. And he knows his stuff.

The first session was on the powerful side. Very strong stuff. And not without a fair bit of discomfort. But afterwards... WOW!

So much looser. So much more movement.

I went several times before he insisted I go to the doctor. There I was prescribed exercises, anti-inflammatory pills and booked in for a scan.

The exercises REALLY helped. And as the doctor said, I could go as strong as I liked. Well...

Because Mike had shown me the benefit of going STRONG, I did. Without Mike's help I'd have been a fair bit gentler. And my recovery would have suffered as a result.

I'm still 3 weeks away from my Physio appointment, thanks NHS. But I'm probably 90% or more recovered. And Mike played a huge part in that recovery.

So thanks, mate.

I fully recommend you give the Ark and Mike a try. He'll fix you up or get you well on the way.

Have been coming for massage at The Ark with Mike for over 5 years now. Extremely professional and knowledgeable guy. Still remember how at ease he made me feel when I first went for massage.
Always asks if there are any particular problems, and always resolves them. Really earns the Sports and Remedial Massage title. Excellent massage, wouldn't want to go anywhere else.

I spend at least 9 hours a day on my feet with a high stress job, and that combined with general life meant I was experiencing regular headaches, back pain and tight hamstrings. After just two sessions with Mike I feel so much better already, my headache subsides and I feel so much better in myself. He really gets to grips with what you need, and where your problems are and works on them to fix them.
I am sure many more trip will be made to Mike - a great masseur and a really nice guy too!

Mike at The Ark has worked miracles on my poor old commuter's back so I am now free of tight knots of muscle and pain that I used to suffer on rising from bed in the morning. Regular visits for preventative deep tissue massage are now a welcome pleasure that keep my back clear and supple. Mike also quickly and with no fuss, relieved the stress related spasm suffered in the neck and shoulder of my two daughters.
We are fans and want this practitioner's service to continue in Leigh so hope you also will benefit from his experience and confident treatment.
