We had the most magical afternoon at the Assembly House Norwich, enjoying their enchanting Christmas Igloo Afternoon Tea. The moment we stepped into the beautifully decorated igloo, we felt like we'd entered a winter wonderland.

The afternoon tea itself was exquisite, with a delightful selection of finger sandwiches, scones, and sweet treats, all expertly crafted and presented. The festive flavors and ingredients added to the seasonal charm.

But what truly made this experience special was the unique and cozy setting. The igloo was snug, intimate, and perfectly decorated for the holiday season, complete with twinkling lights, festive greenery, and plush blankets to keep us warm and toasty.

The service was also top-notch, with friendly and attentive staff who ensured our teacups were always full and our needs were met with a smile.

Overall, the Assembly House Norwich's Christmas Igloo Afternoon Tea was a truly unforgettable experience that left us feeling merry, bright, and full of festive cheer. If you're looking for a unique and special way to celebrate the holiday season, look no further – book your igloo experience now and make some magical memories!

I have been visiting The Assembly house for many years. Never have I had one bad experience. I have allergies and staff are always super helpful in making necessary adjustments never is it to much too ask. The afternoon teas are to die for! Most recent visit last week for my birthday one of the biscuits was unable to be adjusted to my allergy so staff offered to replace it with a slice of the delicious chocolate cake. I buy friends and family vouchers for occasions so they can experience it too.

Room 6 for Hogmanay was booked as a special treat for us. Staff were lovely, attentive and informative too. Room was accessed via stairs with a turn halfway.|Room itself was lovely - triple aspect, lovely four poster bed and a comfy sofa. We loved the double blinds (roller blind and fabric blinds). There was a small fridge with milk and cold water in it, and a nespresso machine in the room.|There was a Bluetooth speaker in the bathroom, but Bluetooth would no connect: it was no problem though!|There was a hairdryer, iron, ironing table, and also dressing gowns (1 S/M, and 1 L/XL - liked that as usually I drown in provided dressing gowns!). Toiletries were lovely.|We enjoyed breakfast from a good menu and there were some amazing bakes like sausage rolls, cheese straws, granola bars.|Very enjoyable stay.

The location is absolutely gorgeous. I've only ever been there for afternoon tea, but would definitely recommend sitting outside as it's a really lovely place to eat especially with the fountain. The food is so tasty and the range of options for afternoon tea is amazing, I also love how the themed teas change so you'll likely get something different any time you go.

This hotel is truly fabulous, it has old world charm with bespoke designed rooms, that makes for a really chic & comfortable experience. We have stayed several times. Room 5, 16 and room 7…( so far). Room 16 is in the newest wing and definitely makes for the wow factor ( bed slightly firmer for those who are interested ) it is enormous, real attention to detail, a full sized sofa , fridge & freezer and has aircon.|Room 5 is lovely, sumptuous bed, and again elegant furnishings ( this room is actually my fav so far). Room 7 has a beautiful ( enormous 4 poster bed). Beautiful colour scheme. |Breakfast is served to the table, with a wide choice, there is also a lovely buffet where you can select all manner of mini pastries, fruit and cereal. This hotel is in by far the best location of any other hotel in Norwich. Parking is available for guests from 3pm-11am FOC. All the staff are very friendly and seem genuinely happy to be there. ||I absolutely love this hotel, and will definitely be returning !

Excellent stay at the Assembly house for my birthday !
Fabulous breakfast and wonderful service from all the staff
A special mention for Jane who is front of house/ reception. What a tremendous asset she is to the hotel, we loved her customer service and attentive manner throughout the stay. In this day and age it’s difficult to always get the best in hospitality I must say the assembly house ticked all the boxes and we will be back!
