I am from the U.S. and have stayed several times at the Bailey's. It is pleasant and enjoyable stay each and every time. The staff is beyond question, good at everything they do. They are intuitive regarding your needs. The location is very good, tube stop across the street that can take you everywhere. Two blocks from the Albert & Victoria Museum and the Natural History museum. Plenty of varied restaurants within walking distance. Great hotel!!

Friendly staffed hotel situated conveniently next to Gloucester Road tube station. Family room very spacious but with a heavy perfumed smell to it (to mask another smell?)and no opportunity to open the windows to air. Unfortunately quite noisy as our room overlooked Gloucester Road.
Breakfast was lovely with a well assorted buffet and fresh pastries. Would recommend.

I had a great experience during my stay at the Bailey’s Hotel! The staff was very friendly upon arrival. Sumina checked me in and waived the early check-in fee because I arrived at 11 am after an early flight, so I was able to get settled in my room before heading out to make the most of the afternoon. The single room was small, but was perfect for a four-night stay with most of the day spent away from the room. There was some wear and tear and a bit of a smoke odor, but the room was still clean and the bed was so comfortable. There’s a small bathroom with shower, a mini fridge, iron/ironing board, and tea kettle and espresso machine. I did not eat breakfast at the hotel but there is a Pret, Tesco, Starbucks, and other food options across the street.||The location cannot be beat, walkable to Kensington Gardens and some museums, and just across the street from the Gloucester Road tube station, with Piccadilly and Circle/District line trains. Direct Piccadilly train from LHR and ~20 min from most major tourist stops in London! Highly recommend!!

On Arrival, we were informed we had been upgraded to larger room provided by the front desk clerk Sumina. It was a nice Surprise and much appreciated. The room was very comfortable and made our stay wonderful. The Concierge Macisj, provided great service and assistance with various transportation needs on our arrival. Both made our stay very comfortable during our visit to London from the USA. The Gloucester Underground Station was conveniently located across the road as shown by the attached picture taken from the front steps of the hotel. My family would highly recommend the Bailey Hotel, its staff, and its convenient access to the London Tubes.

Beautiful hotel, friendly staff. Nicely decorated rooms. Directly across from a train station, so very handy for travelling and sightseeing around London. Lots of amenities, coffee shops, and restaurants nearby, too. Would go back and recommend.

I have stayed at Bailey’s about 5 times over the years. The location is perfect—across the road from the Gloucester Road Tube stop, offering several transport options. The Tube station also has a Waitrose grocery and a Boots pharmacy, if supplies are wanted. Several coffee and pastry options are across the road in the other direction.
Bailey’s rooms vary in size, so choose accordingly. In some cases, there are stairs leading from the elevator landing to some of the rooms, so ask about that if it’s a concern.
The entire property is immaculately kept. Any minor problem that is reported is handled immediately. The staff are friendly and helpful. The buffet breakfast (optional) is generous and nicely presented. I cannot see myself staying anywhere else in London.

I have stayed almost yearly at this hotel for 20 years. I stayed this time in October 2024

I booked a “cozy”room as I was travelling by myself. It’s always been a pleasant hotel.
The room had nowhere to put the luggage except on the floor. There was an ironing board but nothing for the luggage. I was pretty tired so the luggage and I shared the bed all night for 2 nights.
.
There was no bedside table. The luggage at first served as a bedside table.. I balanced a cup of tea on the luggage but then had to open the suitcase so that was a temporary arrangement.

The door of the bathroom was damaged

I was very surprised by this new invention called the “cozy room”.

The concierge saved me from being thoroughly disgusted by the hotel.
As I have been visiting the hotel for so many years he recognised me and was very kind. I asked him if he could help me to the tube so I could take the train to Heathrow and in his wonderful warm Polish way he carried my luggage down the stairs to the platform. That little kindness reminded me of many years I have been coming to this lovely hotel and enjoyed my stay. I have always come for business from Australia and this is the first time I have written a negative review .i think the “cozy” rooms are barely functional and poorly maintained.

The staff was very attentive, and the location was unbeatable. There's a pub and restaurants all around, plus the bar and restaurant inside Bailey's. The Underground station across the street was very convenient from the airport and to get around London. The building is 150 years old and well maintained, but hot water to my room was slow to arrive and I wasn't a fan of the square toilet seat. The bed was comfortable and everything was clean.
