Excellent all round, just not entirely to our taste - Rosti was a bit over-simplified and seemed like a slab of potato, bubble and squeak was just potato and herbs and didn’t grab us. The truffle dish (Rosti) was a little basic, not overly filling, and a bit overpowered (to be honest though truffle is). The flat white was excellent. The service was self-directed which was fine. Lovely venue.

Was busy so expected a wait on food. My cheese and coleslaw sandwich lacked cheese and was obviously placed under a hot plate so top slice was toasted! Macaroni cheese lacked any cheese sauce at all so took it to show staff who all agreed that it was dry. Said we didn't want replacement. No one came and apologised or offered us a refund or drink!! All tables round us were cleared but ours was left with plates on till we went as it seemed no-one wanted to approach us. Lovely building and surroundings just lack of customer service. 15 of us came in too so we spent a fair bit

I’ve done the winter fire pit and camper nights, and popped by for coffee and cake with the kids. Gluten AND dairy free brownie was outstanding, and the vegan shakes are incredible! Hard to find a decent venue that caters for allergies and intolerances. Highly recommend Bake House!

The place was very clean inside. The staff were friendly upon entry and (the slow) service delivery.

We went for coffee and cake in the afternoon. There were a number of options available here specifically for vegan and/or gluten free (even both!) patrons.

We ordered a Cinnamon Swirl, Fruit Scone and a slice of chocolate cake which is paid for at the counter. Drinks were a tea, iced coffee and soda.

The outside options were very comfortable including sunny or shady places. Our outside table was not cleaned and a few empty tables were left uncleared attracting a number of wasps.

The food items were all unquestionably good but were all overpriced certainly in comparison to many other similar places. The same applies to the drinks and especially sugar free soda at over £3 a tin.

I certainly didn't care for the iced coffee which was essentially coffee with ice...I was expecting something made from milk or with ice cream added however I will concede that some places apparently make it plain Jane style.

Overall, the setting was pleasant and relaxing with decent outside views anything outside needed better clearing service. The staff were friendly although service (especially outside) was slow. The food served was tasty. However, I can get that at many other places and not feel taken advantage of when it comes to leaving the till (in comparison to similar operations).

It was good but I certainly wouldn't rush back.

Had lunch here with family - ordered jacket potato with cheese and beans. When it was placed in front of me I immediately detected a strange and unpleasant smell. Thinking I was imagining things and not wanting to make a big deal on a family occasion I started eating but it didn’t taste right and the smell was very off putting. I mentioned it to family who strongly agreed that the smell was off. I informed the staff who returned it to the kitchen. However on their return they stated that although the chef had advised they would replace it there was nothing wrong with it and the odour was the cheese melting on the beans. Obviously I have been around long enough to know what melting cheese smells like and this was definitely more than just melting cheese. My guess is that they pre or partially cook the potatoes and then reheat and this one had been festering in the pile for some time. My meal was replaced, however and was as expected the second time round. Strangely although the cheese was melting there was no disgusting odour this time!
Unfortunately it must have been off as I didn’t feel right later in the day and was unwell during that night. My family, however, enjoyed their meals and had no complaints so hopefully I was just unlucky on this occasion but I do feel I was fobbed off and an apology should have been made as the smell was undeniable

Very nice decorated. Best to sit away from the door. If you just want a coffee you have to queue with the others which is tiresome .

The ladies along from the pastry counter would do better to say anybody just want tea or coffee. It would speed up the process quickly.

Been coming here for a couple of years and the food is delicious! Would highly recommend. Coffees are usually pretty good too! Nothing quite like their outside space on a summers day
