We only stayed here one night but it was a delight, the host was charming and friendly. The room was beautifully clean and super spacious, with two comfy single beds. The sitting room - as the entire barn - was tastefully decorated and homely. A fully fitted kitchen came with all the gadgets and equipment you need for a comfortable stay. ||Breakfast was lovely and at our own convenience and pace. Would definitely recommend it to family and friends. ||A little gem.

We stayed at the Barn at Freemans Farm for two nights with our two older sons. It was perfect, as we had a double ensuite room (first floor) and the boys had a twin ensuite room (ground floor) to themselves. Much to their delight we also had wifi. As well as this, we had full use of a beautiful large kitchen/diner (which was equipped with everything imaginable you could need) and a comfortable lounge area, with 3 and 2 seater leather sofas and a flatscreen TV. Both bedrooms also had a TV. The beds were comfortable with lovely crisp white bedding and fluffy towels. The ensuites were modern and new with large shower cubicles and heated towel rails. The whole barn was tastefully decorated, was spotlessly clean and had fabulous views. From our room we caught the sun rising through the trees and it was beautiful. The very substantial continental breakfast (cereals, croissants, a selection of breads and jams) was in baskets on the bench, as well as juice, yoghurt, butter, milk in the fridge and a basket of fruit on the table. In the cupboard was a huge variety of flavoured teas, coffee and hot chocolate. The pretty outside terrace was equipped with a table and chairs and was an ideal place to sit in the sun for breakfast, had it been warm enough. Carole, our host, was very attentive and was there to greet us on our arrival, even though it was quite late. She gave us a quick tour of the barn and told us to ring or text her should we need anything else. We couldn't have asked for more. The only problem we had was finding it - so make sure you've got your satnav with you. I would definitely have no hesitation in recommending the Barn. It was fabulous and great value for money.

Owners are welcoming and friendly, ideal location to use as a base on holiday to visit other places or stay close and for country walks. Swan pub is a short drive, serves a variety of real ales and food.

Met by owner Carole on arrival. Note that cars should be parked on the right in the shingle (fenced and gated) area. Very friendly and super knowledgable of local history and general knowledge. Barn conversion is magnificently finished with great kitchen and living area. I had room 2 which was upstairs. Loads of space and very comfy bed. Was worried about heat but room was left with windows open to allow free flowing breeze to help (v thoughtful). Pictures don’t do the place any justice. Lovely powerful shower. Patio to sit outside and soak up the quiet ambience of the country if the mood takes you. Brekkie is included|and is continental style. There was also fresh fruit on the table to help yourself to. Can’t recommend this place enough. Great finishing touches made my stay peaceful and relaxing and a tough day. Those interested in cycling please note there are lots of quiet country lanes to pedal away on. Thornbury is only 5min drive away and I recommend the fish and chip shop called Deep Blue (open till 21:30 on week night)

We recently stayed at this place. It was an excellent stay. We had the whole barn to our self since had booked both the rooms. The rooms as spacious with all the modern facilities. The breakfast was continental, which was sufficient. The hosts are very helpful. Will recommend this to anybody who is traveling in the area.

This is a lovely small B&B in the tiny hamlet of Itchington, near Thornbury in South Gloucestershire. Run by Carole, who can’t do enough to help. It’s brilliant for a night away from home, basing yourself for all the sights of Bristol and the surrounding areas, very close to the M5/M4. I certainly don’t recognise the description by another reviewer who criticised both the barn and called her an ‘old’ woman. We stayed just to have a night away and treat ourselves. Everything was perfect -thank you.

I booked in to The Barn at Freemans Farm on Tuesday and Wednesday this week.||What can I say its home from home without any issues!||The place is spotlessly clean and warm with nice views from my upstairs room.||Breakfast is continental style but with the use of a fully equipped kitchen you could find yourself spoiled for choice, the kitchen is also available for reheating or preparing evening meals yourself which is a really good option.||A fresh fruit bowl is available every morning along with orange juice and a huge selection of tea and coffee.||The room upstairs is a really nice Double room with en-suit facility's with lovely crisp white linen and towels. ||The shower is really good and powerful with plenty of hot water and as the rest of the place really clean!||Outside I looked over paddocks with horses in and lots of green fields and in the evening you could hear a pin drop its so quiet.||If you want to eat out your not much more than five/ten minuets away from pubs and restaurants and several good Golf clubs.||All in all I think its better than the "corporate" box hotel room and you are made to feel like a friend in no time at all NOT just a number.||I sometimes hate doing really good reviews as it has in the past stopped me from being able to book rooms when I need them but credit where credit is due its a fantastic place to stay and I will be back soon!||Kind Regards||Phil
