The Barns Hotel - Cannock

This was a business trip and we were delighted with this gem of a hotel. It is an independent hotel that not only has great charm, but a great location for Cannock Chase and surrounding areas of natural beauty. As such we were able to enjoy a walk after work hours.|The hotel staff, and that is everyone from our first email communication to the bar staff and housekeeping were absolutely awesome. They ensured my tired husband got an early check in after a long flight and ensured I had somewhere to work on the day of check out. |The food is fabulous too. Being a vegetarian there were loads of options. I would recommend the rice bowl and the burrito. All meals were very large and great value.|The rooms are simply furnished but very new, clean and provide everything a business traveller would need: iron/ironing board, essential toiletries, tea & coffee in the room etc. The only suggestion I would have is to ensure windows are secure on the ground floor. Our trip was during a heat wave so we wanted the window open for air over night. However, there was nothing to secure it from potential intruders.|Overall, I would say this is a gem of a find that has kept its local appeal and charm whilst increasing the number of rooms.

The staff were exceptional and were very helpful and friendly. Nothing was too much trouble and they went above and beyond to meet my dietary needs.||We loved the restaurant which has been converted from stables so very characterful. Our room was comfortable, spacious and clean with a modern bathroom. Perfectly located for Cannock Chase which is a short drive away. Overall it’s a lovely hotel which we would highly recommend.

We went here for Sunday Lunch. Really lovely location and beautifully renovated barn conversion. Lots of tables but still feels romantic and cozy. Staff were really friendly and efficient. The Sunday lunch was absolutely delicious. I opted for the Roast Beef and it came with all the trimmings, all freshly cooked. Its also a wheelchair friendly place, so easy to visit with elderly parents. Looks like its a good wedding venue too!

Has to be the best kept secret that Cannock has to offer, first class service with a five star reputation.
Bruce and his team are simply the best, value for money for high quality food and drink.
What more could anyone ask for in life, highly recommended and if you don’t then you are missing out on something special.

It’s as simple as that!!

Poor meal......
Went here with my family for a father's day treat. Unsure if the releaf chef was cooking tonight but the butterchicken burgers were charcoal cremated. And there were a large number of flys in the restaurant that clearly enjoyed the chicken burger more than I did.
Sorry Clearly not up to the normal standard of food or has the regular chef been sacked

The Barns, Cannock – Outstanding Wedding Venue!

We had our wedding at The Barns in Cannock on Monday 23rd December 2024, and it was nothing short of perfection. Despite only booking our wedding in September, the team went above and beyond to make everything seamless and stress-free.

From start to finish, the staff were incredibly helpful and attentive. We had a final details meeting a month before the big day, which was so relaxed and informative. It really put my mind at ease, knowing everything was under control.

The food was absolutely unbelievable! The portions were huge, and so many of our guests commented that it was the best wedding food they had ever had – a real highlight of the day.

Everything ran like clockwork on the day itself. The venue is beautiful, the service impeccable, and we couldn’t have asked for a better experience. If you’re considering The Barns for your wedding, don’t hesitate – they’re fantastic!

Had our wedding here on January 25th and couldn’t wish for a better day me and my wife would like to thank Bruce and his team for going above and beyond for us. Nikki looked after us on the Friday making sure the room was all set up. John who looked after us all day on our wedding day was absolutely fantastic they just took the pressure off us. The food was amazing and the young lads working on the bar throughout the night was fantastic and the bridal suite looked amazing. Would highly recommend this venue

Family birthday meal last night.
20 of us including kids
2 meals chicken kebab was nice but not enough of it. 4 pieces of small chicken. Small rice and a hard nan bread.
2 fish and chips one sloppy as he'll the other really over cooked had to Paul it apart to get to the fish when we question it we was told we'll you have eaten most of it, yes it looked that way but no that wasn't the case, very poor !
One burger meal rock hard, iver cooked absolutely shocking. Did get a refund for that but not the point is it really.
Bar staff could be friendly towards customers and waiting staff looks like they really don't want to be there.
Overall a disappointing night, food wise.
As a family all of us that's our third time there had some issues the other two times but they were rectified so thought we give them another chance
As couples eating 4 of the couple in the group have eaten there many many times before we ha e decided together we will not be returning again.
Sorry but cannot take the risk of poor service poor food !!!
