My husband treated me to a night at the Belfry, which included Sunday lunch and Fire and Ice experience at the spa. The main lobby and bar area have a really lovely feel. Fire and Ice experience was fun and relaxing. It was quite busy when we were there, but we were still able to find a bed. Sunday lunch was exceptional-excellent selection, great flavours and good service. Room had everything you needed, including a full length mirror. It was very warm, but a fan was provided. Our radiator was quite noisy, but that might not bother you. Lovely big towels, always a bonus when you're ample in body! Espa shampoo and shower gel. Spa and pool area nice. We would happily stay again. It's got lots to offer.

Booked myself a day of relaxation on my own after losing my husband suddenly six months ago. Fire and ice was good and would return, pool was empty afterwards so had a good swim. Massage and facial by Marie were also amazing. The let down was the restaurant- upon arrival at roccos I had pre- ordered and they thought it was for two. I said ‘no just one’..I was then seated totally on my own where there were plenty of other parties further into the restaurant seated together. I was facing all the other guests looking like a total billy no mates. Awkward and upset me. It highlighted even more I was on my own and not one member of staff asked me|If I was ok. They didn’t care. Food was great but I couldn’t wait to get out so ruined what was a lovely day which I needed after everything just for me. I spoke to the restaurant manager- think her name was marta upon leaving who had placed me there and she laughed and said ‘ people like sitting on the sofas’ I said ‘ not when they’re on their own and no one around’- she said ‘ you should have asked to be moved’..she didn’t quite get it! Shame and although I had considered booking an overnight- definitely not being punished for being a widow and paying £60 on top of the room price ?

I booked a package for 20th Oct 2024 for one night that included a bottle of wine in the room, breakfast, and a three-course dinner, as a birthday treat for my wife.||Check-in: Upon arrival, the bottle of wine was missing from our room. I mentioned it to the receptionist while heading to the spa. After two hours, it still hadn’t been delivered. I called reception from the room, and it finally arrived.||Room: The package promised a "superior room," which, based on the photos, included a small balcony. However, my room (No. 2227) did not have a balcony. After some research, it appears I received a "Signature Double Room," essentially just a standard room. I confirmed the superior room upgrade at check-in, and the staff member assured me it was indeed a "Superior Room."||Three-Course Dinner: The hot food selection for strict vegetarians (like myself) was quite limited. The cold options were better, but I was hoping for a more substantial hot meal. The soup was the highlight of the dinner.||Breakfast: The breakfast was typical of what most hotels offer—hash browns, beans, toast, some canned fruits, and cereal. I would have appreciated more hot vegetarian options, such as veggie sausages.||Spa Facilities: The whirlpool spa was disappointing; half the jets didn’t work on both whirlpools. The swimming pool was overcrowded, with only a narrow lane that made passing difficult. The sauna and steam room were adequate.||Overall, while the interior and decor were lovely, my experience didn’t meet expectations based on the advertising. Came here for a spa day and it was wonderful! Lovely grounds, very big and nice interiors! The spa itself is lovely, big and plenty of space and amenities! I would say the hot tubs need to be warmer though!! Good sized pool and depth. Plenty of pool beds which is great because it was busy when I went! Loved the fire and ice room - best part of the day! The lunch spa restaurant was lovely - amazing fish and donuts! Gorgeous cocktails ! My spa lady was a lovely Indian lady who gave me a facial - so good! Annoying I can’t remember her name!!

We booked their half term dinner, bed & breakfast deal and everything was spot on except one major flaw, which was none of the advertised half term activities were available, this was really disappointing! ||However, the hotel is presented well and the family room has two bedrooms which is fantastic! This allows you to watch tv and have a drink whilst the kids sleep!||The dinner was a buffet which i usually avoid but the food was superb! The breakfast was also very good! The leisure facilities are small but presented well, although the pool was quite cold!||Highly recommended!

Came for a relaxing spa break with my mum. The grounds are amazing. The hotel is gorgeous and very clean. The room was very comfortable and quiet. The service has been impeccable, including Christina at the bar ! Would definitely stay again.

We visited for a birthday lunch, just 3 of us. We started by having a cup of tea in the comfy reception area, admiring the chandelier made from golf clubs, very impressive. The 3 teas cost £18.15, no small biscuit or etiquette in service. The tea bags were either stale or had been left out in the light as the tea had that distinctive metallic taste of stale tea. We chose to have light sandwich lunch in Sam’s bar. The veg club sandwich and Sam’s burger were very nice. The Sam club sandwich was however not warm. The area could have been warmer, couldn’t sit there too long as no heating on. Price for lunch as expected for venue but beware of hidden 10% charge, even though we ordered at bar and collected our own drinks. Overall nice experience to have visited but lacks that special feeling for expensive outing.
