Such a great find for a trip in Whitby. Great location. 10 mins to the harbour.. a bit longer walking back up the hill! Lovely clean and comfortable room with everything you need. We were on the 2nd floor & still a bit of a climb so be mindful of the stairs when you book. Bed linen & towels crisp white and towels changed daily (if required). Lovely little tea/coffee tray with yummy biscuits. Breakfast was very filling & tasty. Full English or parts thereof and there was a daily special every day (bagels, smoked salmon, pancakes etc). Different types of fresh fruit, yoghurts & cereals were also available as well as plenty of juices and toast. The stay also comes with a parking permit and we had no problem what’s so ever finding a space near the B&B. This is our 2nd time here, this time we brought friends, and they were equally pleased with their stay. Phil & Sophie should be very proud of what they’ve achieved. We’ll be back x

We enjoyed an excellent 3 night stay at the Belfry. The property is very conveniently positioned for exploring Whitby and the surrounding area, great if you enjoy walking on the coastline. The property itself is very clean and well maintained, the hosts very welcoming indeed and the breakfasts excellent. Highly recommended and we wouldn't hesitate to go back.

The Premier Suite was really special: the perfect setting for a romantic weekend getaway. The B&B had great facilities, wonderful staff, a very filling breakfast and a beautifully clean and comfortable room with excellent views of amber skies over the water. Faultless stay, looking forward to returning.

Everything was perfect! Everything was clean and well presented. The towels and the linen smelled incredible! Fantastic views, staff were amazing. The breakfast was beautiful. We did not want to come home!

Comfortable, clean and well furnished room with plug sockets in all the right places. drinking Water, kettle, beverages & biscuits available in the room with fridge in guest lounge for guest use. Very quiet & peaceful at night. Good choice for breakfast, including yogurts, fruit, cereals & full cooked. Good location for exploring Whitby. Friendly hosts. Excellent restaurants nearby. We ate at The Vault and also Quayside.

We loved everything about the Belfry! It was located within walking distance to everything that Whiby has to offer. It had plenty of space for our family of five, and the beds were incredibly comfortable. The free parking and snacks they left for us were a nice surprise. We will definitely stay here again!

Excellent B & B for a few nights stay.
Our room was clean,everything you needed and lovely sea views.
The owners and there family were lovely.
My only negative comments that our tea and coffee at breakfast were stone cold and our room lighting was poor to see things.
I would definitely recommend the Belfry as it stands out against the other B & B'S.

My wife and I stayed for our wedding anniversary late March - the room was immaculate, location excellent and the hosts were spot on. They also helped us out with local recommendations for restaurants, walks etc.
Breakfast was ace.
We booked our April 2026 visit as we left and cannot wait to be back.
