I just wanted to share some feedback following my recent visit to The Bell Inn. Firstly, I want to say that your staff were absolutely fantastic—friendly, attentive, and really welcoming throughout our visit. They made us feel well looked after, and that level of service deserves real recognition.

Unfortunately, we did find the food at dinner quite disappointing. The dishes were beautifully presented, but the flavours didn’t quite live up to expectations—they were rather bland and didn’t seem to reflect the quality suggested by the setting and the price point.

That said, there were definitely highlights to our stay. The room we stayed in was really lovely—comfortable, well-kept, and full of charm. And breakfast the next morning was like night and day compared to the previous evening’s meal. The cooked food was delicious, and the yoghurt provided was especially tasty—fresh and full of flavour.

Overall, we really appreciated the atmosphere and especially the team, who were clearly doing their best. I hope this feedback is helpful.

This is without a doubt as good as any high end pub in the Cotswolds. They also serve the best Sunday roasts in the area combined with great service from the whole team.

Rare roast (locally sourced) beef and all the trimmings and it comes piping hot with fantastic extras and gravy. Better than a home cooked roast by a long way.

Well done to all who work there from kitchen to the bar staff. Fantastic.

An enjoyable couple of nights stay here. Very clean and comfortable room with a small kitchen area. We liked the small details such as low level movement triggered night lights in the bathroom; Roberts digital radio playing classical music when we arrived; fresh milk in the fridge to go with tea and coffee and breakfast cereal. Service was good, with cheerful helpful and pleasant staff. I have to say that I was slightly disappointed with the food- the hot smoked trout starter was okay, though the accompanying bread was not very interesting, and the lamb casserole was overpriced in my view and rather bland. My companions however chose fish dishes for their mains and were very happy with their choices. The cheese souffle starter was also found to be excellent. Definitely more positives than negatives. Would be happy to return.

Ten of us on a country walk stopped for refreshments on a hot June day. We were welcomed warmly by Blanca and her husband who made us feel like locals.
Food and beer were excellent.
Highly recommended

Just enjoyed a fantastic lunch at The Bell ,Sapperton.
A thoroughly enjoyable experience from start to finish.
A lovely welcome from staff, relaxing atmosphere, attentive service..and some of the best pub food I've tasted in a long time..
Living reasonably local , we've tried most pubs in the area..and most seems to use the same catering company..at The Bell, the food is prepared and cooked with love and attention..the difference is noticeable.
Lovely setting, so had nice walk with dog afterwards..all in all an excellent meal , and would certainly recommend..thank you.

Recently attended a baby shower at The Bell. I arrived with the cake, which had sadly got squished on the journey. I was full of panic but the amazing team at The Bell saved the day! They transformed the cake to make it look decent again and did this with no stress ☺️ the food, service, atmosphere and attention to detail was outstanding. Thank you so much guys for all your help, will not hesitate to visit you again. Brilliant day.
