A great, out-of-the-way spot for some food or a stay. Staff are always so helpful and happy to help with any issues or queries. Lovely rooms, and great locally sourced food. The only one minor drawback is a poor wifi coverage to some of the rooms, and an overall lack of mobile phone signal - not unexpected however

We found this pub by accident but can't rate it highly enough. Great staff who were very welcoming and friendly. Great food, freshly cooked and tasty. Great day friendly and great inside - very happy to let our pooch in while we ate in the little restaurant area.

Fantastic food, very friendly staff and a beautiful pub with a very pretty outside area! We had our wedding lunch at The Berney Arms and they went above and beyond what we expected in terms of decorations on the table and around the bar. Thank you to the whole team, we had a fantastic day!

When I rang to book a table I asked about the fixed price lunch menu and was told it would be available. When we arrived we were given an a la carte menu and told that they hadn't had a fixed price menu for 2 years! It was still on the website the day we ate. I feel I was misled.
Food was OK. Service was really slow. Does it take 40 minutes to produce soup and figs and cheese on bread. There was only one other table in, not as if it was crowded. The waitress leaned over us to put plates on the table. Disappointing as it was my mothers 90th birthday.

A nice looking pub, good interior finish.
Had lunch today, as I had not visited since they have been under new management.
I went for the venison sausages, the horseradish mash, onions, kale and gravy were good, the venison sausages however did not taste like any venison I had, had before.
Followed up by a plum tart, it looked like and from the two bites I had, tasted like it had been cooked at somepoint in time, then reheated again, before finally being microwaved for me today.

Oh and if you like a dash of lime in your lager, then that is £1.00 a dash...
Not sure where you get the lime cordial from, but for reference Waitrose's Mexican Lime Juice Cordial is £0.85 per litre bottle.

We found this little gem a few months ago and we liked it that much that we have already been back. The menu is really nice and the food was well cooked and beautifully presented. The staff are a joy and the service was 1st class. Prices are amazing. I dont know how they do it. Well done and see you again soon.

Small village pub with a real homey feel. We didn't partake of an evening meal as we arrived late but the breakfast was amazing. The staff were welcoming and helpful. A really wonderful stopover.

We went to the Berney Arms for a 15-person strong wedding lunch last Saturday lunchtime and were extremely impressed with the quality, service and experience.

As the bride, I had expected a low key meal (having not really put any organisation in place at all)- but was amazed to be met by a prosecco reception in the garden hosted by the new owner. The room was laid out gorgeously - with really unexpected attention to detail. The food was unbelievable (I only wish I had space to eat more of it!).

We had the bar area to ourselves for the afternoon and were able to do speeches without disturbing other guests. We were also able to take lots of photos in the garden!

Anyway really really recommend going to the Berney Arms for dinner or a drink (even without a wedding!).
