I just usually want somewhere to crash and these sorts are ideal !!! Cheap and cheerful yes it has property interior damp mould decorating defects and loose sink knobs and cracked wooden doors but it's very old and it's cheap to book so if you cant put up with these defects like alot of other lower grade hotel's then pay double to get near perfection..... personally I'd rather pay less and spend the extra on the days / time out the hotel!!! Staff was all great imo, was very quiet and the rear of the hotel was a nice big garden so was nice imo overall 👌💯🤣👊

My daughters and I were very disappointed in our hotel room. It smells of damp, there are holes in the curtains, there was no headboard on the very hard double bed. Only 2 towels for 3 guests, no bath mat. The staircase to the rooms is very old and worn, the hand rail looks like it might come off it you pull too hard. The lady was very nice but don't book this for anything special. There was plenty of hot water for a bath and the bathroom was clean. There was loads of rubbish outside our balcony door, which was also locked. Lots of main road traffic noise incase you're hoping for a good sleep.

The stay ended before it even began. The receptionist was incredibly disconnected and acted like they were made to work by force, no helpful gestures or offers of any help.
When basic requests like an extra pillow were made it seemed like we were asking for too much from them. I get customers can be tough but it’s not the sort of attitude you expect from any hotel be it 1 or 5 star.
To be more specific, the female receptionist became very defensive and then played the victim when asked why their service was so poor.
I get rules are rules, but almost crying over a pillow request was just too much, so I had to practically beg for the money back which was done rudely and abruptly by the hotel manager, shoving a card machine in my face and telling me to leave.
Absolute joke of an establishment - AVOID AT ALL COSTS.

Like something out of the dusty archives, wish I'd read the reviews before going. On arrival the miserable (short) woman was unwilling to help or get help seeing a disabled person. No warmth from her at all. Apparently the heating runs on a timer and all the "boosting" under the sun couldn't elevate the temperature in the bedroom, the hallway was warmer and you could feel the difference on leaving the room. Thank God I was given an extra duvet, I brought my own duvet cover to sleep inside and I'm glad I did. Dirty little hanging rail so low coat hem would fold in the floor, hangers were so weak and bent out of shape, a waste of time. Carpets were dirty and restaurant wasn't open for dinner.
Only good thing is it was for one night and it was very close to who I was visiting and to the train station in the town centre. Didn't think to take photos but the other review photos are accurate and true

Worst place I have ever stayed. Bed sheets had stains, when I finally got off to sleep was woken by the fire alarm, apparently someone was smoking crack in the room next to us!!||The manager came and wanted them removed, after a fight in the corridor the police came and arrested the culprit.||||Absolutely disgusting, if I could have given no stars I would

There is no way this can called a hotel. Run down, staff do their job [that's it], climbing up stiras ti rooms - carpet is dirty, old and needs replacing.

Ok - you get what you pay for - even still you paying for 'just a place to stop' here.

Yet - for similar cost - Ther Barons Court hotel just down the road is at the other side of the Spectrum.
