We've been here twice now, a few years ago & just last weekend. Lovely family room, comfortable beds, lovely fluffy towels & great large hot shower! Owners are lovely & breakfast is fresh, tasty & made to order! Really nice B&B ๐ |Would recommend value for money.

Spiders in the room when I arrived were very friendly and if you like to listen to the sound of Lorryโs throughout the whole night then this is the place to stay. I booked for two nights but left after only one as I needed a sleep. Tried to speak to the owners as I left, pressed the bell for service but nobody appeared at 5pm. Must have been busy. On a positive note, the breakfast was excellent and the cats sitting on the bonnet of the cars in the car park keep them warm during the night. The barking dogs give added security when parked in the customer parking area. Recommend if you want to be close to Lincoln but remember to bring earplugs! Friendly staff, when you can get hold of them. Bed was clean but they need a new toilet seat. Minor points unless you value your health.

We had a late booking here as we were attending a wedding locally. It was the perfect stay for us great location, parking on site. Lovely rooms with everything you need and a fantastic breakfast.|The icing on the cake was the wonderful owners of this guest house who were so welcoming and accommodating especially as we arrived later than planned. We honestly cannot thank them enough for thier hospitality. We highly recommend The Blackbirds to stay at and would not hesitate staying here again when we visit our friends

I stayed at this guest house for three nights. Its just outside of Lincoln's main town. Wragby Road, as I found out when I got Lincoln, is a very long road. Jane, one of the owners, kindly guided me to the premises. Both Dave and Jane, the owners, were very welcoming. ||The room I had was very clean and just what I was looking for a short stay. It even had air conditioning (serving both hold and cold) which was a surprise. The ensuite bathroom had a power shower, which was great. The bed was very comfortable, with the mattress having just the right level of firmness (not too soft or too firm). |Although my room was near the main road, the triple glazing window did its job well in keeping the noise out. As the road is not a city centre road, the traffic gets reduced significantly after 8/9pm.|I had a full English breakfast (vegetarian option). It very delicious and was enough to keep me feeling full until the evening meal. And that's with lots of walking done during the afternoons.||Overall, I enjoyed my stay at this guest house (which should be rated at least 4*). I would definitely recommend it and I would certainly be staying here again if I travelling near Lincoln again in the future.||Thank you Dave and Jane for a great stay.

Lovely B&B. Made to feel very welcome. The owners Jane and Dave certainly go the extra mile to make you feel welcome. Room was really lovely and if that wasn't enough, the breakfast was cooked to order using high quality food. It was certainly one of the best we ever had. Our stay here was worth every penny

Nice little find this one. Booked this for 1 night after visiting an event at the Showground so it was not too far away. Absolutely delighted with the accommodation- it was lovely and clean, decorated nicely and very relaxing. The garden area is so cute. Breakfast was great - generous and well cooked. Had everything we needed, we will book again next time we are in the area.

We had booked overnight for my daughter's graduation ceremony which was early the following morning at Lincoln Cathedral. The Blackbirds was in the countryside along Wragby Road. The owners - Dave and Jane gave us lots of tips about where to park for the ceremony, etc. ||There was free parking at the guesthouse - most city hotels had to use public car parks which charged day and night. Our rooms were spotless with nice shower, tea making facility and very comfortable beds, with airconditioning. The breakfasts were from 7am and surprisingly good with juices, cereals, fruit and cooked breakfasts, tea or coffee.|| We did a reconnaissance to time the trip and it took 15 minutes to drive to the The Lawn Car Park and about 6 minutes to walk to the Castle Square which was between the Cathedral and the Castle. Lots of tea shops and restaurants and we had dinner in Thailand No. 1 in Bailgate. on the first night.

Truly a home-from-home establishment! Dave and Jane really do go the extra mile to make you feel welcome. The freshly-cooked breakfast they provide can only be described as spectacular. The rooms themselves (there are only 4) are excellently decorated and furnished to a high standard and are situated in a single storey block slightly detached from the main house. Highly recommended and if we have to return to the area we would have no hesitation in rebooking.
