Frequented this place a lot over the years but that counts for nothing to the owner.
Never had or caused trouble in this establishment yet I got refused a glass and was told I could only have a short in a plastic glass/cup, whilst beside me pints were being served in glasses and wine was being served in glasses.
The inconsistency prompted me to ask the owner for a reason why its one rule for one and one for another and was told those are the rules and if you don't like it basically there's the door, so we left.
No loyalty to long time customers, bad attitude and clearly making too much money so doesn't care how he treats good, polite and well behaved customers. There are ways to treat people that have supported your business over many years and it's not this way.
We shall not be back.

Visited the Blake Arms as a friend was holding a charity event in the skittles alley. Lovely pub, good service

Really nice pub. It has a decent selection of lagers and ciders, only one ale available it would have been better if there were more but not a terrible thing.
There's a dart board at the pub which kept me and my friends entertained for the evening, and the staff were accomodating to our large drink orders.

This venue is always clean and tidy friendly staff always make you feel welcome. Drinks service is fast and the beer served is perfect in clean glasses, nice and cold and a fresh crisp to taste.
If your visiting the town it's well worth a visit to this pub it's a good example of what Bridgwater has to offer and is run by a well experienced crew who have a passion for doing things well and right.

Popular bar which screens the big games. They have the facility to show multiple matches. Reasonably priced selection of beers. And some bar sport facilities, including Darts, Euchre and skittles.
Also, home of the Marketeers Carnival Club.

Clean, neat and tidy room for Bridgwater Carnival. Good value for money, couldn’t have been a better location for it. Old school phone up and book, no written confirmation for me but I was written in their book at the pub.

Didn't stay here as I live in Bridgwater, but the bar is of a good size and later in the night they have a small disco.

Booked the skittle alley in March of this year to celebrate my parents 60th Wedding anniversary in homage to the fact the Blake arms was where they had their original wedding breakfast. 9 days before the party I went to see the landlord to discuss the final details. Wanted to charge an astronomical price for Asti Spumanti £15 a bottle!!! He didn't like the fact I was asking him questions. Originally I said there would be 50 -70 people attending which he was fine about. He rang me today to say he didn't have enough chairs for us to use. Didn't like the fact children would be there (7!!!) and said it wasn't worth him opening the bar and cancelled the event!

Giving me 9 days to reorganize everything from scratch.
Avoid at all costs particularly if you are a woman!
