Im really sorry but food was not good at all.
36 day aged beef.
You would think it would be cooked properly.
It was brown.
Not pink.
The spuds were flowery and cold.
The veg looked like it was out of a bag.
Was 100% not cut with a knife as all three of us had the same brown perfectly sliced beef.
Should be cut off the joint.
It came out cold but parts were hot as if it had been in the microwave.
I think thats why the beef was over done possibly.
And £5.50 for the smallest portion of cauliflower cheese that had bugger all cheese in it.
As you can see from the picture.
Im very sorry to put this but we are willing to pay the £83.82p including a service charge of £7.62.
If it was nice hot and cooked correctly and hot.
I also noticed my service charge was written in pen.
Not on the receipt correctly so not put through the till.

What a gem of a place! Wonderful pub hidden away down a quiet road. Food was fabulous, in fact we both left absolutely stuffed as willpower seemed to have left us. Lovely friendly staff and clean pretty toilets. We will definitely be going back there again. We went at lunch time and it got quite busy so best phone ahead to book a table. Highly recommend.

An unlikely stop, that turned out to be a great stop! A beautiful pub, they made us feel very welcome, great beer and great people. We didn't have time to stay for a meal unfortunately.

Had an amazing lunch in such a warm, welcoming atmosphere. My father-in-law said it was the best pub lunch he’s ever had. He ordered the fish, I had an incredible fig and Brie tart, and my husband went for the suet beef pie. Every plate was practically licked clean! The desserts were just as lovely, and we had a great chat with the team too. Honestly, you all need to come to Sydney and show us how a proper pub lunch is really done!

Lovely cosy pub, with excellent service and great food. Went for the whitebait, roast turkey, and Bailey's crème brûlée. The fish was great, larger than some whitebait and a nice breadcrumb. The turkey was moist with plenty of gravy, and all the trimmings (except Yorkshire puddings, boo). Then the dessert, the taste of Bailey's came through delightfully, and I loved how dark they dared to burn the sugar - also gave a lovely smell to the pub, accompanying the open fire.

Choice of drinks was good, with a decent range of spirits, and three cask beers. And as mentioned before excellent, friendly service. We will return!

Had a lovely overnight stop over in our camper and thoroughly enjoyed a hot evening meal, pudding and coffee. Wide choice of options on main menu and specials board. Pudding was also amazing. Atmosphere was great and extremely attentive staff. Dogs allowed and treats also available.
We also made the best of the weather and sat in the nice garden area to relax before our meal.
Well worth the visit and if we are in that area again, would certainly go back.

A very nice rural pub offering great food. The beer garden is a pleasant spot to enjoy a few drinks in the sun! Low ceilings inside make for a pub full of character and friendly staff poured the perfect pint.

Would recommend as a spot to enjoy the countryside pub.

Plenty of parking. Will return for sure!
