What an amazing place, set off by brilliant service. ||||We arrived on Saturday afternoon after a lovely walk around the nearby Kings Wood, our room was not quite ready so we were seated in the pub and well looked after while we waited. ||||Once shown to our room we found a really comfortable and nicely decorated room, it felt luxurious and clean. It's a very quiet location at night and we slept really well. We were in the "garden room" which has its own little garden with patio doors, the garden is well screened and felt really private. ||||The pub has a nice mixed vibe of old local pub, and very lovely modern restaurant in the extension at the back, the two blend together very well. It was busy on Saturday night but the background noise was not overwhelming it just made for a nice atmosphere. There are two nice outside areas with countryside all around. Tables inside and out are well spaced and not crammed in. ||||Dinner on Saturday night was delicious, our server (Georgia) was chatty and personable and put real effort in to look after us, nothing felt like too much trouble. All of the staff seemed genuinely interested in making sure we had a good time, and seemed to enjoy working there, which is sadly lacking in a lot of places these days. ||||Breakfast on Sunday morning was good quality, well cooked, and tasty; although it was not as hot as it could have been. We once again experienced the same great service as the night before. ||||We will definitely be back!

My husband and I stayed here for one night after visiting the Big Cat Sanctuary for the day.|We were made to feel very welcome by Rachel and her team. We were shown to our room and breakfast times and parking etc were explained. The room was a very nice size and everything so clean and lovely fluffy towels and a hairdryer. We had been concerned about the possibility of hearing noise from the pub downstairs but there was no noise at all once we closed the windows, so we both had a good nights sleep. |We’d made a reservation for dinner and enjoyed a delicious meal and the waiters were all also very helpful and very friendly. |Breakfast was also delicious and the full English was the perfect portion size. And the team who served us were again very helpful and friendly.|All in all a very enjoyable stay in a lovely location

The first thing to say is that the staff are lovely, very friendly and helpful and looked after us very well. We had a meal in the restaurant and we were a little disappointed. We waited almost 40 minutes for our food, despite the restaurant being only one third full. My husband had the pie of the day which was very enjoyable. However, my chicken Caesar salad was quite a disappointment. The chicken was beautifully cooked, but there was hardly any Caesar dressing in the leaves and when I asked for more dressing I was given a portion of vinaigrette, rather than Caesar dressing. Worse thing was that there was no Parmesan at all in the salad - not sure how you can have a caeser salad without Parmesan. I felt this was poor value, to pay £17 for a caeser salad with hardly any dressing and no Parmesan - basically some salad leaves with a chicken breast on top.

As the last part of a six-week driving trip around the UK, we stayed at The Bowl Inn for four nights. This is a popular pub/restaurant despite (or maybe due to?) being located on a small back road, surrounded by farms. Every part of our stay here was delightful and we actually hated to leave. The staff and owners could not have been more friendly or accommodating. We enjoyed cooked-to-order breakfasts and a nice selection of dinner items. We had one of the larger rooms (ask for room 9), which was spacious and comfortable, complete with a terrace and pastoral view. Our thanks for making us feel very welcome and at home at The Bowl Inn.

We stayed here for the night with 2 other couples. We all had lovely rooms with balconies and the rooms were very clean, quiet with a lovely view across the countryside. The stay was topped with the full English breakfast and the staff were brilliant with a shout out to Lynn for her fabulous “nothing too much trouble” attitude.

We stayed here as a wedding party in June, booking all of the rooms out. Sam and all of the staff were fantastic from beginning to end, catering to all of our requests, including organizing a large brunch for our guests the morning after the wedding. They even tidied and decorated our room for us on our return - a touch that was extremely thoughtful and welcomed! Thank you!
