We heard of this establishment by word of mouth and decided to give it a try. The pub is set in a beautiful rural area with a decent sized car park. The venue has a cosy feel and appeared to attract many local patrons. We were warmly welcomed and shown to our table promptly. There’s a splendid range offered on the menu and everybody in our party enjoyed all three of their courses. This place is definitely worth the effort to travel to.

Our visit to The Brace of Pheasants was nothing short of delightful. Upon arrival, we were greeted with exceptional warmth, and the cozy ambiance, complete with log fires and exposed beams, set the perfect tone for our relaxing getaway.|Our accommodation in the Garden Wing featured a well-appointed bedroom with a king-size bed and an impressively large bath—a true highlight! Despite the inn's remote location, the restaurant was fully booked on Saturday night, a testament to its popularity. The diverse menu offerings and teriffic atmosphere only added to the charm.|We highly recommend the Brace of Pheasants and look forward to our return.

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay for 2. We had dinner on our first night and the food was good quality and nicely presented. The staff were very attentive and we had a nice chat with some of the locals, which made us feel welcome. Lovely location and would happily return again.

Excellent pub - great food; good cask beer; friendly, helpful landlord. My walking group visit regularly. Although off the beaten track, it is in amazing walking country, worth the visit just for that. Actually, the Brace is worth the visit even if it is pouring down and howling outside.

This was a surprise weekend away for my birthday. The building is picturesque and the rooms clean, airy and comfortable. The bed was one of the most comfortable I've slept in. Very quiet area but for a pub in the middle of nowhere the bar and restaurant were heaving both Friday and Saturday night. Dinner on Saturday was wholesome, hearty but also elegant and reasonably priced. Breakfast was well cooked with local produce and a good portion. Overall would recommend and would stay here again.

This is a little gem in the charming village of Plush. A very cosy and welcoming experience was found when we popped in for what turned out to be a three course lunch. Everything was great to look at and very delicious from start to finish. The menu and the specials had some interesting and appetising options, as did the wine list. We will certainly be paying the Brace of Pheasants another visit and would recommend to anyone else.

We had a fabulous one night stay here, what a beautiful part of the world. The room was excellent, rainforest shower and huge bathtub, comfy beds, spotlessly clean. We had dinner in the evening and food was just perfect, every dish was mouth-wateringly tasty. The breakfast was very very good, fresh sourdough, good coffee and a non greasy fry up! Highly recommend.
