I had a fantastic experience at the Brambletye Hotel, and a big part of that was thanks to the new manager Jeet, who went above and beyond to make sure I was comfortable. His professionalism and friendly attitude created such a great atmosphere, both in the hotel and at the bar.

Whether it was offering great local recommendations including the fun Saturday night band playing in the bar and their restaurant menu (the food was delicious!), ensuring top-notch service, or just making guests feel at home, he truly went above and beyond. You can tell he loves what he does, and it shows in the way the whole place runs so well.

The hotel is close to local amenities, including a petrol station, other restaurants as well as beautiful nature nearby for those who like to explore the outdoors. The hotel has a safe outdoor space for children on the back terrace and a front terrace, great for enjoying a drink or two on those sunny days!

Looking forward to coming back.

Avoid this place at all costs. I cannot tell you what a grim experience staying here one night was. There is no wifi, no proper coffee, no disabled access. There is dirty laundry in the corridors. The paint in the rooms is peeling, the bathrooms are mouldy. We had to summon someone to get a radiator working. The bar is empty but the TV is deafening. The bar prices are eye-watering (£16 for two gins, one tonic). The room rate does not include the (extremely expensive) breakfast, which you have to book the night before. The car park is potholed and dangerous. There had been a confusion over our booking (we had come for a funeral) and we were charged for two nights. When we protested, the manager claimed there was a THREE DAY cancellation policy and refused a refund. But, of course - whatever the staff tried to claim - the place was completely deserted and they had to make their money somehow. We cleared out the next morning without seeing any staff and had breakfast at a good little cafe nearby. After the funeral we went home, showered and washed all our clothes, glad at last to be rid of the memory of this place. Tell your friends: only stay in this ghastly dive if you want a laugh or a horror story to tell.

I can't urge you strongly enough to avoid this ghastly place. The night we stayed there was dirty laundry in the corridors. We asked for ground-floor rooms because of my disabled mother-in-law, but there was no disabled access. The radiator in her room was not working until we complained. There was no proper coffee in the restaurant, and the bar prices were sky high. There had been a muddle in the booking - made by the family for a funeral - and we were charged double. The manager claimed a three day cancellation policy and refused a refund. The rooms were pock-marked with peeling paint and mould. Our sink leaked all over the floor. The carpark was potholed, dark and unusable. They demanded we book breakfast the night before - for an additional £12-15. There was no wifi and, so far as we could tell, nobody else there except a couple of local drunks at the bar, watching the loud TV. We cleared out the next morning as soon as possible, attended our funeral, then washed all our clothes to be rid of the memory of this place. I cannot remember a worse stay in this country.

Service was good here. Popped in for dinner and drinks. Small menu but reasonable prices and good portions. Staff were very attentive and friendly. Music was very loud though for even a pub.

I stayed at the Brambletye hotel with work. I arrived and you need a tractor to get in the car park as the potholes are that deep. I waited at reception for someone to check me in. In the end I asked if anyone worked there. I stayed in room 12. It was filthy. 2 televisions in the room but not one remote control. (They did find one after I went down stairs). Cobwebs hanging from the ceiling. The last night there was a band on in the pub and it was so load the room was bouncing and it was on all night until gone midnight. I do not recommend this hotel. ( how do hotels get a rating). My

First room they gave us was half way done with pipework. Second room they gave us had mouldy ceiling, missing fixture, mouldy shower curtain, dirty bath and mouldy seals. The window didn't leave anything for the residents to not see. Bed was had and uncomfortable. There was laundry bags stacked up high both upstairs and downstairs. Definitely not returning and wouldn't recommend.

We had a great evening at The Brambletye hotel pub. Jeet made us feel very welcomed and the staff were very friendly too. As the evening went on lots of people came down to listen to the live music that we played with our band, Straker. A great venue for live music, it attracts people that love a great night out with extended drinking hours. Jeet was great to deal with when he booked us to play, his communications were excellent. The pub itself, was very well kept and clean and a great range of drinks. We ‘re looking forward to returning to play at The Brambletye hotel in July.

The room was clean bed really comfortable , really impressed with the fact that the restaurant was indian and that the owners had saved an hotel and keeping the bar opened for the locals , who were also very friendly, great band played at night, highly recommend and will definitely be going back
