Had a bit of a mixed bag of a visit.

On arrival we were greeted and shown to our table, we said straight away we were having the taster menu with the recommended wines.

We had to ask for some table water after sitting there for some time I would have thought this would have been provided straight away.

The food was nice and well presented but after the second course we had used all the cutlery that was on the table when we walked in. I would have thought after ordering the 5 course menu the extra cutlery would have been provided then unless they were hoping we were going to use the same ones and save on washing up.

There were empty tables when we visited yet the tables were very close together, it was like the next table was sat with us even talking quietly we could easily hear other conversations.

I don't think there was enough staff on for a Saturday night.

Overall the food was nice and the wines that were recommended for each dish were a good match. ?

Went here with friends for the 5 course taster menu. The food served was absolutely lovely, really well presented, tasted excellent, all the flavours complimenting each other. Each dish was introduced well, and explained. There was also a decent amount of time in-between each course.
If there could be improvements to make this a 5 star rating, we had to wait quite a while after arriving to be served any drinks, also when asking for tap water to be on the table, we was told they only serve bottled. Also there were only a couple of wait staff, which is fine if the restaurant isn’t too busy, but there were a lot of covers, so the staff were unable to be as attentive as the could have been.
On price point, for the taster menu, we were all very happy.

We had the most wonderful evening. We had the tasting menu. The host was so welcoming and knowledgeable and really fun to talk to. Thank you for making it 16th wedding anniversary special. We can't wait to come again for the next tasting menu!

We had our birthday dinner celebrated here few weeks back . Not very much options in menu but food was tasty. The customer service was good initially but finally when it came to Billing we did tell him multiple times we are going dutch as we were two couple, but he split the bill in equal half even after saying multiple times also we were charged with service tax . Since he was rushing we payed and took bill for us to clear between us , once we left the shop while reading bill we realised in the end it's written service tax only taken for people 5 and above , but still he charged us even though wevwere only 4 people. We felt we were fooled. While having dinner we were planning to return here with our family in future, but now I don't think I will choose this restaurant again. Felt highly disappointed

Uncomfortable restaurant. Everyone can hear each other, and we could even hear what the cook was saying throughout dinner. Overpriced for the quality of the food, with not many options either. Steak was over cooked, chips were soggy. It was like a pub food not a fine dinning.

The food was truly unbelievable, quality, taste and presentation cannot be matched. The menu is perfectly curated, offering wine matches with each meal. I had the sirloin beef roast paired with the recommended Argentinian malbec which was suitably delightful. My partner had the langostine cocktail, followed by the venison Wellington. Again, both courses were presented beautifully and tasted sensational. The online booking was very easy, the host and waitress were both incredibly attentive, polite and charming. The restaurant itself is fresh, quirky and appealing on the eyes. I couldn't have asked for a better dining experience, it isn't a cheap pub grub lunch so if you're not willing to pay for good food it may not be for you but if you are looking for a superb gastronomical delight or a treat for a special occasion this is 1000% the place to find it. Can not recommend highly enough!

After booking weeks in advance, I was rung and essentially told my booking was an inconvenience because they wanted to get 2 or more sittings in. Given it was Valentine’s Day and I am kind, I agreed to move it forward to 6 so it could be rebooked after. We arrived at 6pm, (17:56) and walked in, they were blunt and told us we were early.. because we’d got to our booking 4 minutes prompt. (Imagine turning up a polite few minutes early and they make a comment about it?! Odd.) I said we aren’t that early, to which the manager then made another comment about us being due at 6:30. I quickly reminded him they had asked me to move. They were incredibly unorganised considering we were the very first customers of the evening, and after the weird timing debacle, we were then pointed to our table around a pillar ‘table number 1…’ because sure! We work here and know where it is… To not be shown to it, sat, or even have coats taken etc was very unprofessional. We then sat down, and after choosing not to proceed with the recommended drinks, we weren’t offered any water and it took them about 15 minutes to provide the standard drinks menu. The waiters stood around, having presence but perhaps not actively present as they were not that helpful, looking more interested in the passing by traffic outside the window than the customers in front of them. We were eventually served the starter which was a tiny portion of quite nice verde risotto. But again when we had finished with this course and our drinks the waiter stood less than 3 feet away and walked past a couple times without taking plates etc. our glasses were empty and we had to constantly asked for them to be refilled (they didn’t leave the bottle we chose at the table) so they should have been doing it automatically. When our main course did come out it was stone cold. The chef only cooked one side of the meat leaving one side medium rare but completely rare, nearly blue, on the other side. When informed the manager it was cold, we waited quite a while, eventually receiving a new plate which was completely the same as the first, cold and undercooked. The plates were hot as if they had been in the microwave but food wasn’t. We notified who we presume was the main waitress that we were unhappy and decided to leave prematurely. We walked out with our bottle of wine and did not pay for the terrible meal.|It’s worth reiterating both of us work in hospitality. So we often make exceptions for things going wrong- given that we understand sometimes things go wrong at our workplaces. Now we’re not unreasonable people either, I frequently have my steak rare/ med-rare, but it isn’t cold. At the end of the day it’s simple- When you pay a good price, you expect to be shown to your table, have your wine topped up and food warm. Those aren’t hard boxes to tick. We’re not silly, but what you’re paying for is the service, which this place utterly lacks.
