The Brunlea Hotel - Burnley

I live locally and never knew that the street parking outside which looks identical to on street council parking is actually run by the hotel. Parked up to drop something off at local shop. Got the shock of my life as a male THUMPED on my car window. Demanding I move my car as it was "touching" a white line. At no point did he identify himself as a "parking warden" he then demanded to know how long I was staying and kept telling me to move my car. Even standing beside the car which made parking up dangerous. Manners were clearly left behind that morning!

If this is a Private car park it needs to be marked as such. No signs anywhere just a grumpy chap demanding money off people. If anything this service will drive away local businesses from the town.

Don't know what the hotels like but hope the service inside is better than the first experience you get when parking up.... 1st impressions count and this guy was rude, aggressive and nothing more than a bully.

Stayed almost two year ago it was horrific! Noticed it was under new management and undergoing renovation so gave it a shot!! The change is incredible!! Brand new bed WITH MATTRESS PROTECTOR brand new furniture and a fresh modern room! Room and bathroom very clean. My meeting finished early and I was going to checkout however the staff Advised me to stay and see the local area! I was advised to use the St. Peter’s Centre swimming pool and gym and the continental restaurant next door. The staff are a credit to this place and the new owners are doing an incredible job to turn this once horror hotel into a very modern and clean new hotel. ||HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

It was very dirty, there was no toilet seat and no clean towels. Staff accused us of deliberately leaving the hotel with the key as reason for not fixing the problems as apparently there is only one key per room in the whole establishment, which in itself must be against the health and safety rules. (what happens if you are taken seriously ill in the room and cannot let anyone in)? All round very poor service and most definitely not worth the money paid. I wouldn't rate or recommend this hotel at all.

I will not be staying again if I can help it.||I stayed with a myself and a friend in another room.||It was fairly clean, very dated.||The TV did not work in either rooms.||My friend even had a night staff member open his door in the middle of the night to ask if anyone was in the room.||We asked for reciepts several times and they just did not want to give us one.||No breakfast. noisey outside, shouting from the streets. Awful

It was a budget hotel. Central burnley. Undergoing a refurb. My room was clean tidy and very comfortable brand new bed. Staff were brilliant. Made me a cappucino as soon as i arrived. Fabulous welcome from Tony on reception. Escorted me to my room. Which is old school portering.
If your after clean comfy budget. This is exactly what your looking for.

Way more money than it's worth, people's hair allover bed and sink like the place hadn't been cleaned from last person and don't even get me started on how dirty the radiator was... Not to mention the staff just seemed like really dodgy people.

The couple who run this hotel have to be commended it's basic at the moment but they have a vision and they will go out of their way to give you a great experience

avoid this place,it's a sthe from hell !!||||Booked in and straight out,delux suit my arse,no toilet papper,no towels,no kettle,no water,an ensuit shed with no doors on for storing your clothes.||||Freezing cold,damp,one member of staff who was clueless and when the manger turned up he was rude and agresive to say the least.||||This dump should be removed from booking websites,just awful !!!!||ended up at the holiday inn,great place.
