We received a very warm welcome to the Brunswick. Our room was clean and comfortable, although the bed was a small double. Very generous with the tea and coffee making facilities. A very good range of breakfast choices. The hotel is close to Shanklin Chine, the old village and the beach. All within walking distance. And if you like the peal of church bells, you'll definitely hear them on Wednesday evenings!

Attractive building overlooking the sea with a well-presented restaurant and bar. Small but well-maintained indoor pool and (apparently) another pool elsewhere. Rooms were generally attractive and well maintained and when our plans changed they were happy to adjust our rooming with no fuss. |Nice bed sheets and pillows, working shower. Nice and warm (sometimes too warm!). |It was very low season so not too many people staying...This made a breakfast buffet uneconomical but instead there were a good range of dishes to order – all done very well. There was a small menu of food at the bar. |Staff made every effort to make our stay enjoyable.

We stayed at the Brunswick Hotel for a weekend away (sun-mon) in the Isle of Wight with breakfast the following morning. It has a lovely modern feel as you walk in and staff are all very lovely and helpful. As you enter the hallway for the rooms the modern feel fades with vintage red old carpets. Floorboards are squeaky alongside a squeaky bed also. Strange shower setup, see-through curtains and basic rooms. However we slept incredibly well with a few DIY amendments (placing the provided blanket over the curtains to create a blackout effect). Also not a great view out of our particular bedroom window. The following morning we had a lovely breakfast in the beautiful dining room. Cereals were provided alongside bread for toast with the choice of chocolate spread, jams and honey and then a set menu for hot food items. This is a fabulous idea as less food wastage. The views from the dining room are gorgeous as it is see front. We had a lovely peaceful stay at the Brunswick hotel. It’s not 5 star but it’s fantastic at its price point. We would stay here again. |Thankyou for reading my four in a bed style review :).

Valentines Stay. We stayed last min for a Valentines break bringing our little one. 1stly huge thanks to the housekeeping team for creating such a wonderful impact on arrival. Balloons. Teddy bear. Rose petals. Fizz. Roses. Chocolates. Our rooms were beautiful. Food was fab. Breakfast and dinner absolutely great. What fabulous food. Lovely team who welcomed us all. Nothing too much trouble and lots of smiley faces. Shower and bath a bit quirky. Rooms warm. Well sorted everything you could need. Slept great. We slept on duvets and asked for more. Mattresses a bit squeaky/felt springs. But it's an old hotel and price reflects. Lots of games to play in lounge. Pool lovely and warm. Views of sea fab. Can't wait to return. Thank you to all the team. Team kept saying how good sister hotel Channel View was. So will give that a try next time...x|

An excellent place to stay when visiting the island. Ample parking with a brilliant view across the eastern side of the Solent. The staff were brilliant, full of helpful information and advice. The rooms were comfy and well maintained. Breakfast was excellent with a great set of options....all served promptly and with a smile. Shanklin is full of surprises...a lift to the beach, a theatre and Jurassic Jim's to mention just some. Thanks we will be back 🤗

We came here for breakfast and a swim today.
Staff were very friendly, breakfast was very good quality and plentiful. The leisure facilities were warm and clean and we had the pool to ourselves. We had a very nice relaxing visit, it was excellent value too !
Thank you !

Friendly and hospitable from the minute we walked through the door. Our dogs could not have selected a better place. Although the dogs could not join us for our daily swim, they did come down for breakfast each day and were treated to a sausage for breakfast. |The hotel and staff set the tone for a brilliant weekend on the island.

My room is a good size with heating, comfy beds, a TV and kettle that work, and enough hot water for baths. In the wardrobe you'll find an airer for drying, a hairdryer and an iron. Breakfast here is wonderfully cooked and is from a menu offered every morning. Cereal, toast, fruit, yogurt and grenola also available too. The indoor heated pool was out of order on my day of arrival but by day 2 was up and running. It's perfect for swimmers that don't like deep water as it's only 1.2m deep throughout! No life guards so be careful in there!
