Centre of Battle, few metres away from The George pub on the high street.
Nice pub full of locals at bar, polite and welcoming, and vibrant.
Restaurant at the back of the pub, this area was quiet, but lovely.
We had a lovely waitress, very personal and approachable. We enjoyed a footlong hot dog and the best chunky chips we have ever tasted. The children's mac and cheese was delicious and highly recommend.
Our favourite was the games corner, we have never seen this in a pub before, beautiful little touch for the family. Pop in and have a try for yourselves if your in the area you won't be disappointed.

Bangers and mash - this was particularly good

Drinks - the Harvey's Sussex Best Bitter is a good choice

So eager to eat I didn't get pictures, but food all well presented and good portions. Very good value for money

Popped in for a burger, glass of champers and oh my God!!!! Absolutely amazing. Fabulous interior, good music, delightful staff and the best true burger I have eaten in years!!!!! If you get to Battle, do not miss this great place!!

A nice room in a good old pub. Very centrally located but sadly no onsite parking (free parking was just a couple of streets away). Whilst the road was busy due to a nearby traffic diversion our room at the back was quiet. There was no breakfast (mid-week) but there was a good cafe nearby. A good choice if you are visiting the Battle area where there is lots of historical interest.

One of the best breakfasts we have had, owner was super friendly and great service. really catered for dog put down a bowl of water and treats before we even got there! Definitely would go back

The Inn was a 1600’s coach house originally built from the stones of Battle Abbey so an old fascinating, great little pub with a few delightfully appointed rooms full of original character. As we stayed weekend nights we were given warning the bar gets busy and there is live music but, despite the room being over the bar we heard very little, probably due to those very thick walls. The rooms are so beautifully clean and thoughtfully decorated and very comfortable. Breakfast was excellent, very tasty and great value. The dining area and bar are also lively spaces. No on site parking but public parking is very close. Would definitely recommend.

Stopped for a bit of lunch after a visit to Battle..the staff were lovely, friendly and helpful. I got the bangers and mash, and was really glad I did, it was gorgeous..tasty, plenty of it and piping hot.

Wow lovely staff girls on bar soo attentive and helpful!x food is good. But gravy is too thin! Consistency needs improvement!
But overwise food is homemade as delicious! Can't fault this place !
