Nice pub right on the road with some decent parking for patrons. Prices are a bit on the high side (£20 per meal on average, £9 house white) but that may be just me not used to pub prices. Portions are big and food is fresh and tastes good though, so I feel like there is value for money there. Highlight was outdoor area at the back - lots of space for my kids to stretch their legs without me feeling self-conscious about disturbing other patrons. Service was overall good as well, drinks immediate and food within 15m. Definitely a place I'd come back to, I'll just prepare my wallet better!

I visited here with my family for a Sunday roast after its big reopening and this place just did everything right. The food was excellent and came out very quickly, but not only was the food fantastic, all the staff seemed happy and eager to make everything great. The inside of the pub looks insanely great, particularly the mixture of old and modern art covering the walls gives it so much character. It’s the reopening the pub desperately needed and it did not disappoint

I am not sure why the reviews for this 16th Century pub are not higher. We needed a place for six people to meet (a family reunion/birthday) and had a very pleasant afternoon here. The food was good and very reasonably priced, the service was good and, being a building with history dating back to Tudor times, the atmosphere was great. We ate inside but there is also an extensive beer garden.

The steak pie and chips/mash seemed popular, as did the fish and chips. There are also veggie options (a good Beyond Meat veggie burger) but leave enough room for dessert! Sticky toffee pudding with ice cream - excellent.

I always enjoy every visit here. Great for either a casual drink or a meal with others. Owen has done a fantastic job with getting the pub up and running. The great are friendly and welcoming, there is a warm and positive atmosphere and the menu is amazing!! Definitely one of my new favourite pubs

Fantastic service right the way through yesterday afternoon. The team were all super friendly, the Sunday roast was absolutely fantastic and the selection of drinks on offer covers all bases! Not to mention how amazing the place looks since the refurb. Excited to get back there in the next few weeks.

The Superfood Salad looked nice and very healthy. You had a choice of chicken or Halloumi. Lots choices re Beer & a good drink menu & range of hot drinks. Pub itself was so cozy. There was a Beautiful grandfather clock and other beautiful furniture to explore.. So much history within. Made it a very interesting Pub to visit. Highly recommend this Beautiful Country Pub. Bonus there is a medium carpark next to Pub. Also a garden.. Remember to put your vehicle registration when you enter pub. Give this country Pub a 10/10.

My family and I visited The Bull for Sunday lunch and we were blown away. Every aspect is beautifully executed; the setting, the music, the friendless of the staff, the speed of service (6 full roasts with cauli cheese, red cabbage, the lot, served all together within 20 minutes of ordering) and welcoming, family friendly atmosphere made for a really lovely afternoon. Cannot recommend enough, the new owners have absolutely out done themselves - can’t wait to go back to support them further!
